My career goals are to hopefully work in the naval hospital in Jacksonville NC. Main reason is my brother spent the first 2 years in the navy as a respected Corpsman there. I want to work in either pacu or the emergency room. Hopefully within the next 5 years, but in between than and now I just want to be able to pass my classes and hold my company down. I do not plan on graduating in Kaplan as of now, but I do wish to transfer to a local university so I can get in class experiences to keep me interested. Kaplan is simply easing me into being a student after so long without school.
When I did the interest profiler it sort of opened the door to the reality that I am not the most ideal candidate for a health professional.
My top three attributes were social, artistic, and investigative. With that being said, I still believe I can be a positive impact in this field. I believe me being investigative will arouse the interest in making the patients medical issues my own to provide them with the health care I would want for myself. My social side will be easier for patients to feel comfortable with me. My artistic side will provide me with a universal view with patients. Clerical work is needed and isn’t fun, but we aren’t in the business for fun. We are in this to make lives better and easier to go through while in are
care.
