This includes stakeholders, investors, and other financial partners within a health care system. The healthcare field is growing rapidly. Most of our healthcare programs issues come from our facilities and patients. We must continue to educate our managers on how to best manage these programs. As the years have gone by, organizations have been pushed to produce a better system that’s more productive and effective. There have been theories called complexity science and Postmodern. Complexity science is the “ study of complex systems and the phenomena of complexity and emergence to which they give rise” (Johnson, 2009, p.64). Postmodern is an “umbrella term for a group of philosophical ideas that challenged the assumptions of modernism and resultant social and historical viewpoints” (Johnson, 2009, p.65). These two theories have become increasingly popular in influencing new approaches to managing healthcare organizations (Johnson, 2009).
