Intelligent coaches will teach their players valuable life lesson’s. One major lesson my coach taught me is fight for what I want. I live my life like this every day. My freshman year in basketball I was injured. I had two bulging disc’s in my back. I was in pain just standing and sitting therefore sports would be a struggle. Sports help dealing with stress and gives kids physical activity. According to Jennifer C. Kerr, Associated Press reporter, “Institute of Medicine is recommending that schools provide opportunities for at least 60 minutes of physical activity each day for students” (1). Most schools like Northeast only have PE class every other day for 60 minutes. During PE we participate in daily activities and body weight workouts. However, not everyone tries. Being involved in sports will get students at least 60 minutes every day because most practices or games are 2 hours long. Sports also will help out with stress because they get people’s mind off of other things that are bothering them while playing. This proves why sports increase physical activity.
Life without sports would not be entertaining. As can be seen, sports teach a variety of life lessons, create a social bond with teammates, and physical fitness.
