Hilary Clinton Summary
Hilary Clinton used her private email address to talk about classified information. In total she had sent thousands of emails with classified information over her family’s private email servers. She claimed to be in compliance with federal laws and regulations governing recordkeeping. The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) had opened up an investigation against her after they believed some of those documents contained classified information. The FBI found that even though none of the documents had classification markings 65 emails were deemed secret and 22 top secret. Hilary was also in breach of her non-disclosure agreement that stated that unmarked classified documents should be treated the same way as marked classified documents. The

She voluntarily engaged in unethical behavior that violated significant organizational norms and threatened the well-being of others. Hilary was the secretary of state at the time of this scandal. She had an obligation to the American people to do her job properly and ethically. If she failed to do so she could have put not only herself but the whole country at risk. America’s enemies could have got their hands on foreign affairs information, which they could have used to undermine Americas global presence. If America loses global influence in the world it could disastrous consequences. She didn’t consider the corporate social responsibilities on her position. Hilary may not have understood the seriousness of her actions when she was engaging in them. This could be due to generational differences. Hilary is a baby boomer so she may not understand how easy it could be for someone to hack into her private email, compared to the US governments email. Also due to the fact she is a baby boomer she most likely has terminal values such as sense of accomplishment and social recognition. Therefore, she could have been just trying to get her work done the fastest and to the best of her abilities as she could in order to meet these terminal values. In doing so she could have been totally unaware of the crimes she was
