Homework Analysis
When I have homework I feel pretty normal because we almost always have homework. Sometimes we have a ton of homework in other subjects and then we have math homework. On these nights I feel like I don't have enough time to do it because I have other after school activities that might take away three hours at most on some nights. Even though I have a lot of homework some nights I finish it but I'm usually up really late so the next day I’m really tired. This makes me not pay as much attention in some classes that I would normally pay a lot of attention in. It’s not so much the written homework that gets me so much. It’s the test that we have crammed in every week. So, in summary, the homework isn't usually to bad but when it gets staked up

“Things have to change” this quote was said by Bobby from the book “The First Part Last”. The first part last is a book by Angela Johnson, it is about a teenager named Bobby and how his girlfriend, Nia, is pregnant and he tells about his life with his daughter, Feather, and his life with Nia. The chapters go from now, then, now, then; his life with Feather is in the now chapters, and his life with Nia is in the then chapters. In the book Bobby has to leave his childhood behind and he has to mature in order to be the father Feather needs.…

Grade analysis results show that school success in Croatian and English is very good, but through years of schooling that success slowly decreases. This is especially emphasized in the fourth grade, where the fall in success is the most obvious. Teachers attribute that to the development phase that children are in. Moreover, they say it is due to more difficult curriculum in the fourth grade.…

There are several different types of advertising in the world today, like newspaper ads and magazine ads. Then there are commercials, they can be very manipulative in persuading specific audiences to buy their products. In the Pepsi Next “Dancing Baby” commercial, they use what is called a trick image. It is the funniest part of the commercial and is what makes it so appealing. This trick image is the baby in the back ground dancing and doing tricks; it is very eye catching and hilarious in my opinion. This commercial uses different types of appeals to make it more interesting. The husband and wife mention some of the statistics about the product to help enhance Pepsi Next. The target audience is parents of children six months to one year of age and new mothers trying to lose weight. This commercial affects me positively because it is funny and the statistics are true.…

In the article “Making the world safe for stupidity”, Leonard Pitts Jr., columnist for The Miami Herald, claims that marketers believe we are “feeble-mindedness” because of the “idiot warnings” that are on most advertisements. Pitts supports his claim by outlining all advertisements that have “idiot warnings” on them. For example he uses “Like a bread-pudding container that says, “Product will be hot after heating.”” This is to show how marketers believe that we are naïve and don’t have common sense. Then, he changes his claim to “Corporate America is to blame because they have damaged the human species”. Pitts’ purpose is to point out that marketers believe we are idiots in order for readers to see why “idiot warnings” were created. He establishes a disappointing and sarcastic tone for his readers to disapprove and laugh with him.…

As I disappointingly see my grades on canvas I tell myself that once I get home from school I will finish my homework and papers almost due before work today. I have four quizzes and two excel worksheets to work complete. I have three hours and a half to finish these before midnight. As I’m done with my first quiz I decided to take a little break so I take a glimpse at my phone and decide to watch just an episode of “Vampire Diaries” and next time I know its 5 o’clock and I’ve watched four episodes of the show. I just wasted all the time I had to finish my homework and now I have to finish it after work which I get out at 9:30 pm. There was no way I would finish on time with good scores.…

One of the many pressures a college student faces is the amount of homework we endure. At Southern Nazarene University, we have different classes each day. Having a different class every day comes with a lot of homework. Homework is the cause of decreasing grades. In college you are overwhelmed with homework. There are two different types of opinions when it comes to the term “homework.” One of these opinions is that too much homework causes students to disengage. Others, however, claim that homework is necessary and helpful. As a result of all this homework, college students are forced to stay up late hours, which leads me to my next point of maintaining sleep.…

Finally, homework is very demanding on kids. “In most U.S schools, homework has become more demanding and time-consuming (scope magazine, pages 20-21, lines 33-35). Studies have shown that most kids feel very stressed about schoolwork and homework. There is a lot of pressure to do well in school. Some kids feel like “if they don’t get help from their parents, they will be at a competitive disadvantage with classmates who do.” (scope magazine, pages 20-21, lines 69-72).…

In almost every English class, the transition from midterm to final term is not quite easy. In this class final term, ENG 121, I have practiced my writing skills continuously with the process and writing from analysis of printed ad to the complicated argumentative essay. I have found that the final was more complicated even though the idea and the processes in the midterm had a great help in the processes and writing in the second term writings. For instance, the idea of finding or creating a topic sentence, developing details, and reasoning and concluding the essay were part of the things that had a great help for the final semester.…
