Christianity was taught to everyone far and wide and was very important to things like the manorial system that had been developed. Christianity was still based on the obsession of salvation, and this is where the birth of several new ideals were formed. A code of conduct that is still talked about to this day, chivalry, was created. This was a code of conduct based on the Christian religion that was mainly aimed at knights. This is the time that the famous Magna Carta was born, created because Kings Henry had started to grow the churches powers and the nobles ended up rebelling against his son because of it. The important Parliament was also created in the thirteenth century, where more common people could now voice their opinions in the government. This time also gave birth to one of the most bloody and famous political/religious endeavors ever. It is called the crusades. The crusades actually ended up reviving the Papacy, but created tensions between Muslims and Christians that actually still have repercussions today. One of the only positive things that came from religion at this time were the new organizations that helped provide to the poor
