If you had a slave just sitting in front of you and you could take it, would you? In the United States slavery started and lasted for a long time until people wanted to put it to an end. Slavery is not a good thing and thank gosh it came to an end.
At first, people were getting tired of doing things on there own and so they wanted someone else to do it for them. According to "The making of America" "people were getting older and were getting tired of doing things on there own like farming, mowing, laundry and so forth. They were treated like animals and they had barely any freedom says "slavery settlement". "They were treated so poorly that it was like they didn’t mean anything to anyone.' They didn’t do anything to anybody to be treated like that. This may lead to some one getting so mad that they would want to kill themselves.
Finally, there was a group of people {the North} that thought slavery was a terrible thing and wanted to bring it to an end. According to "The War that Ended Slavery" "the North wanted to destroy slavery because they thought it was a horrible thing. But the South thought that slavery wasn’t that bad, and wanted the slaves to do there work for them. So they decided to have a war, which was the civil war." They fought and fought until the North ended up winning and slaver had came to an end.
In conclusion, the people who were using the slaves were just to lazy to do their own work for them selves.They didn’t want anything to do for anyone else except for themselves. They treated the slaves like they nothing except a piece of crap. Thankfully the north put it to an end by going to war with the south and winning.
