How Does Chracte Character Change
Character is what defines each person on Earth, whether that character is benevolent and influenced by friends and family, or malevolent and influenced by hardship and difficulty in life. Take book characters, for example, as they often go through thickening plots, heartbreak, plot twists, and misfortunes that force their character traits to alter in order to survive. This is true for actual people as well as fictional characters because a person's character traits are at first chosen by them, but after experiencing life, are often completely altered by trials and situations they experience. This is because people can become set in a mindset until a certain event changes their persona, people often acquire certain traits from people they choose to associate with, and people often choose to alter their personalities in order to “fit in”. …show more content…
When this transformation happens, it usually involves a person thinking one way all their life, until one day, everything changes. For example, a car wreck. A busy, bustling and incredibly driven person is on his or her way to work, a mundane and redundant task that is completed almost every day of their life. Until a reckless driver hits and runs them into a ditch. The hardworking person in this scenario is taken to a hospital, and almost doesn’t survive the injuries sustained in the wreck. They do, however, make it out of the hospital room and back into life, only to find that their once centralized way of thinking is now haunted by doubt, anxiety, and self-loathing. Because of this, character traits are often influenced by traumatic experiences, and can take a great deal of effort and will to overcome and

Character is a very important element of fiction because without characters, a story falls apart because readers only care about the plot and other aspects of fiction because of how it affects a character or characters. Characterization is the process with which the writer reveals the personality of a character or characters. Characterization can also help reveal the relationship between characters and how they feel about each other. If a writer knows how to use characterization properly, he or she can really bring the story and characters to life for the reader. “My Kid’s Dog” by Ron Hansen is an excellent example of how characterization can make a story more real for the reader. Through characterization, Hansen reveals the plot of the story, he reveals the animosity between the narrator and Sparky the dog, and he also uses it throughout the story to make the events that take place more vivid for the reader.…

Characterization is the combination of all the things and author does to create the personality of a character in a piece of literature. For example, throughout the story, the read learns a lot about the character of Jack. We learn that he is a very determined young boy. He does not like to give up when he fails; he likes to keep going until he is successful. In the beginning of the novel, Ralph, Jack, and Simon come across a pig and Jack wants to kill it for meat. Jack attempts to kill it and fails, but he becomes very determined to kill one before they left the island. During chapter three, entitled "Huts on the Beach," Jack is once again not successful in the killing of the pig and becomes sad all over again. He stabs the pig but is unable to kill it. Throughout chapter seven, the boys are still trying to hunt down the pig but he gets away, once again. Finally, during chapter eight, the pig is finally killed. Jack becomes determined and awfully savage, killing the pig with his boys after torturing him continuously. (page 138) This proves the quote is valid because it shows that Jack kept failing along with the other boys, and his characteristic of determination kept him going until he learned from it and…

My character has always been an important concept within my life. This is because character is comprised of honesty, selflessness, and compassion. No matter what the situation is, it has always been imperative to me to be honest with not just those around me, but with myself. For example, I once noticed that an instructor had given me a higher grade than I deserved on a quiz, I never hesitated to report the mistake and made sure that my work was graded…

“Character is a set of behavior traits that define what sort of person you are. Your moral or ethical qualities if you like – qualities of honesty, courage, integrity, trustworthiness, respectfulness, responsibility, caring and compassion. People judge your personal character by their perception of how you respond to challenges. Someone who perseveres in the face of adversity and works persistently to complete a task or sees something through is generally thought to be someone of good character.” Once wrote Karon Graham.…

When most people think of character they often associate it with the idea of having to do the right thing. I on the other hand believe character is more than just doing what is morally righteous. Our experiences, obstacles and most importantly, passion define our true character. Passion establishes the difference between obligation or choice and giving up or persevering. Our actions result from the passion we choose to dedicate towards different aspects of our lives including school, work, extracurricular activities and community service. Everyone values these aspects differently and that is what allows for each of us to have our own unique character. I believe people have a more powerful influence when they have a true sense of passion for what they are doing.…

Character plays a role in who I am and who I seek to be. My parents taught me to be obedient and listen to others. At first, I thought being obedient means to follow rules so you would not get in trouble. In school, I would be the student who always followed the rules: no talking when the teachers talking, clean up after yourself, and finish your work at the proper time. Every year from kindergarten to middle school, I would get recognition…

Having character is being trustworthy, honest, empathetic and respectful. This means doing the right thing even when nobody's watching. I always search for the best in everyone because no one is perfect and we all have made poor decisions in our lifetime. I take responsibilities in my actions and others I am responsible for. It is difficult for me to admit that I am wrong but I still do because it is the right thing to do. I have had a friend who was suffering from depression and wanted to harm themselves. I was scared for them because depression is a disease and it is not their fault that they are like that. I had them speak to an adult and they are currently recovering. I was very scared that she had cut marks on her wrist because it could have gotten worst. I cried because I did not want to lose a friend. On a field trip, I found a five dollar bill on the pavement. I asked the first adult I saw who was slightly ahead of me if it was hers. She said that it must have dropped out of her purse when she was walking. The teacher was really surprised because she said I could have easily kept it for myself. I would feel bad if I took someone else’s money even if it was just lying…

Having a good character starts with having a good outlook on life. How we react to the things we encounter helps to develop our character. For example, if we see an elderly woman that needs help putting her heavy groceries into her vehicle, we can either offer to help her, or we can walk away. Although offering to help her would be my instinct, others could just walk away and never think a second thought about it; this is how our character is brought upon us. If one were to realize they have a bad character and they wanted to change it, literally all they have to do is start by holding the door open for other individuals, maybe the next day they can compliment someone and make their day.…

The word character is often mistaken for something it is not meant to be. Character to me, means that something or someone has a personality and that everything about it tells you all you need to know about it. It is a word that has little meaning now a days but when you experience something with real character you begin to see what the word’s true meaning is. I used to misconceive this word as well, until a few week back when I experienced something that had real character just down the road and just around the bend. I was on the bus ride home one day it was cold. I was shivering but I had gotten the seat with the heater so I took off my shoes and let the warm air of the heater send warmth through my freezing toes. I got off the bus and I started walking home when I heard it.…
