I like reading a book that has an exciting beginning a fast pace and that is very detailed. The beginning of a book usually determines the succession of the book, because that section is where the author tries to hook the reader like a fishermen trying to reel in a fish. Between the books Pigmen,Touching Spirit Bear,The Pearl and the outsiders, I think Touching spirit bear has the most superior beginning based on the categories of descriptive language,General readability and the pace of story development.

Touching Spirit Bear has a very fast paced story development compared to The pearl. Every sentence in Touching Spirit Bear is contributed to the story it was also very fast paced but still tremendously understandable, it made me feel immersed in the the story like I just had an energy drink. The Pearl was very different though, it was calm and soft it made me feel very relaxed like a nice warm nap. The Pearl had a slow development being detailed about other aspects for ex. The contrast between the baby being strong to the song of evil in the Kino’s head (PG.2) “In Kino's head there was a song now, clear and soft, he would've called it the song of family”. Touching Spirit Bear is very easy to get very immersed into the story because it’s level of description is very delightful helping create a visual image inside your head, it’s like seeing through a clean window, also had a very interesting sense of theme. Compared to The Outsiders was very different, The Outsiders it was hard to get into because of the story structure, I couldn’t get a get a proper sense of structure but on the other hand the book easily developed a mental image.
