Being motivated to do what is required to attain the goal set by you is a challenge. All students face these challenges. Motivation refers to those factors that energize behavior. They are the driving and pulling forces resulting in persistent behavior directed towards specific goals. The motivational level keeps varying and so does the efforts. Keeping your motivational level and enthusiasm high and fairly consistent is essential for anything you do. Check if your goals are set well. How strongly you feel for them? Are the goals realistic and focused? Unrealistic goals can be de-motivating. Having vague aims and goals will not bring out hundred percent of capability. Specify your goals. The goal statement should always be in the back of your mind. Have long-term goals and short-term goals. You might want to become surgeon. This is your long term-goal. Your short-term goal would be to do well in exams, score good marks and grades. However, your immediate goal would be to learn and understand the subject matter well, to gain knowledge about your subject. The immediate goal of gaining knowledge is the one that will lead you to the short-term goals and finally cuts. No bargaining will work. Once the goal is set strongly in your mind work for it. Leave no stone unturned. Put the right kind of effort in the right direction.
Motivation requires goals. A motivation once set does not last forever. You have to renew it periodically before it dips down. This is more so when it comes to scholastic performance and academic achievement. Yours in this field are of importance. As students their time and turn. None of the other matters can be allowed to take you off the track. All this will depend on how strongly you are committed to achieve the goal.
