All relationships have made an impact in some form. Some of those relationships contributed to a more substantial impact and some in a slightly less way.

As far back as I can remember my mother was always there. I never really thought about my relationship with my mother until I became a mother. She made the largest impact in my life and even though she is gone from this earth, she still steers my decisions today. She taught me about life. She shared moments, both good and bad, in my life. She shared her life with me and I received it unknowingly. When we are children we do not comprehend the importance, our parents play in our life. Having a strong bond with my mother has helped me be a better mother. My mother took time to play with me, talk to me and

She was not afraid to speak her mind. She was open about life. Three of my best memories of my mother are from three stages of my life. The first memory I have of my mother is how creative she was, how organized she was, and what a neat freak she was. I can remember details of nights when she would "party" with me. What I mean by partying is we would dance, play with Barbie dolls, laugh and play games. My mother made me a disco room. I was the only one at school who had their own disco room. It was awesome! She had the disco ball hanging and had spelled out the word DISCO with Christmas lights on the wall. We would play in the closet with the Barbie dolls. She would make me homemade clothes for my dolls. This was impressive to my friends. I had a cool mom. Although I can remember her before this time, this was the first truly memorable moment she made an impact in my

Lennie, George, Curley, and his wife from Of Mice and Men by john Steinbeck along phineas and gene from A Separate Peace by John Knowles, give examples of a relationship and how the people in it affect one another. The book Of Mice and Men is about two men one of which deeply depends on the other. The book a separate peace is about two boys who are very different but still remain to be best friends. A lasting impression; that is much more than anyone else has ever accomplished. She would write me cute letters almost every day, some saying little as “have a good day pumpkin face.” She would call my pumpkin face because my face when I first woke up in the morning was priceless she said. Anyways I still keep all the letters in a box in my closet. I was really too young to understand a lot of the things she talked to me about, but I think it just comforted her to tell me what she was thinking, because she knew I would always listen intently. When I finally became of qualifying age, she asked me to certify for CPR with her. She was always looking for some way to help people. First and foremost, my mom has taught me to be happy and true to myself because I can never not face myself, and the choices I make. When I grow up, I hope I can be just like her, as I thought when I was a little girl and still think until this…
