How to Apply Makeup
Not everyone is born with perfect skin, especially when a girl reaches her teenage years; hormones are high thus, leading to breakouts and redness of skin. By just applying powder would not fully conceal these blemishes, that is why a step-by-step process must be done before applying make-up to make skin appear flawless and perfect and these steps include: concealing, applying the corrective process and applying foundation.
The first step in the preparation process is concealing. Dark circles underneath the eye must be concealed with a concealer with the same shade as your skin tone or a lighter one. To apply this, dab the concealer starting from the outer corner of the eye to the inner corner of the eye. This is to avoid stretching the sensitive area of the eye and maintain its firmness. Next, we move to the corrective process starting with the mauve base. This base is applied to dull and pale areas of the face, thus making the face appear brighter. After applying the first base, a second base is applied which is called the green base. This is to be applied to areas where redness and blemishes are located. Any type of corrective base may be used in the corrective process like liquid, cream, and pencil correctors.
After the corrective process has been accomplished and all blemishes are concealed, one must proceed to the application of foundation. To find a foundation that matches your skin tone, pour a pea-size amount of foundation on the palm of your hand and dab a small amount on your lower jaw, blending it completely. Once you have found the perfect shade, apply foundation to the entire face starting from your nose, going to the cheeks, the chin and temples, and between the brows. Using a damp sponge, blend the foundation from the face outwards. Move sponge from the cheeks, to the ears, from between the brows to the tip of the nose, from the chin towards the jaw then, blend it down to the neck. After blending, blot your face with a clean dry tissue. Apply

The Estee lady was pretty, so after her make up she was pretty too. “Her blue eyes were recessed in an intricate pattern of folds and hollows” (Suh 189). However, Suh was not beautiful, as her own description about herself, she was with “ragged hair; the dark circles under my eyes; the facial blemishes” (Suh 187). Use soft natural colors on eyes, cheeks, and lips. Browns, pinks and neutral are all appropriate choices. We do require that you wear mascara and lipstick or gloss. Remember, you never know when there will be a camera in your face. Do not clump your eyelashes with mascara. One to two coats of most mascara is more than enough. Wear lipstick or gloss, making sure to refresh the application throughout the day as needed. Wear a light blush for day and deepen the color for evening. Be sure to blend all makeup. When applied, makeup shouldn't appear as if you are wearing a mask. Orange faces and necks that appear to be a different color are not…

I could not wear makeup until I was 16 years old. “16 years old? That’s so far away!” I protested with my heart once again broken by another impeding ordinance. I was forced to go through middle school bitterly staring at my friends in the bathroom as they put on their glittery, enchanting lip gloss. Coming into high school, I would get questions about my bare face and have to explain that my mother did not allow me to wear makeup until I reached the glorious age of 16. Maybe I could have secretly worn it at school, but I walked to school with friends so from the moment I left the house, my naked face was exposed. Not to mention, I later learned that puberty is not a conspiracy theory, that is definitely real, and along with it came its infamous side effect: “pimples.” People saw my face, no makeup and all, and whenever I had acne or my annual sprout of eczema, those traits carried with me in every conversation. It was rough. I would wonder, where was the excitement that makeup could provide me with? Where was the glamor I wished for? Then finally the big day came. I already had a list full of cherished makeup products that I had been waiting to finally purchase on my 16th…
