that human testing should always be proceed by tests in animals. Unlike, all the people who are against it, NGO’s, animal protectors, and more, say that experimenting on animals cause them pain, suffering, distress or lasting harm. But the people are not the only ones that benefit from animal testing, vaccines tested on animals, saved them from dieing because of many diseases, as rabies. In addition, scientists stated that banning experiments on animals would mean an end testing of new drugs, or use human beings for all safety tests. This means, that humans lives will be endanger and exposed to suffer, or all the consequences that the tests could have. If animal testing would never have been done, there would be millions of people dying of the most simple diseases like fever or a cold. Another important point of animal testing,is that many of the largest biomedical and health organizations support animal testing in the United States. Many societies, as the American Cancer Society, or the American Heart Association, all allow the use of animals in their scientific research. In other words, animal testing have been approved and if scientists keep doing it, that means that it is progressing and it is working well. Moreover, animals are treated as humans in the laboratories, to have more reliable test results. In particular, at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, a researcher's animal facility, dogs are exercise twice a day, and are given breaks to socialize with theirs caretakers and other dogs. They also have a “toy program”, that is an opportunity to play. In fact, animals and humans have their DNA very similar. Mice mostly used in research because the 98% of their DNA is genetically the same as humans, so the test results are more accurate. We also test in them because our organism is very similar, both are mammals, so they share the same biological ancestors. The diseases are commonly shared, so it's easier to find the treatment for it. Even so, a science laboratory in Louisiana, the New Iberia Research Center, has violated the laws of the Animal Welfare Act, signed in the US in 1966, that regulates the treatment of animals.
This research laboratory has caused damage to several groups of chimps that were being used in research. As a consequence, many animal care associations, the Human Society of the United States, spread that animal testing is cruel and inhumane, This case is being studied by many associations and being changed, according to the law. but this has only happened few times, which should not have happened, and as in the paragraph above, in most research laboratories, animals are treated as humans for better test
results. In conclusion, test on animals has changed our lives, and if i still continuing, it will change many other lives. Maybe in the future we will be able to work with other type of resources for science development, but right now animal testing is helping many lives to change in a better way.
