Though our history is plagued of countless wars and battles, we always had soldiers to stand by our side and guide us to victory. Not only do soldiers had a great influence in our past, but our future as well. Veterans today volunteered to put their lives at risk to create a formidable barrier between opposing enemies and us American citizens.
When doing this, veterans influence our everyday lives by preserving our future and wish to improve by promising peace and security upon every U.S. Citizen and standing by that cause. Veterans provide a better future for us by facing hostile enemies on the front-lines and anything that can possibly cause harm to citizens. Because of this, we show our gratitude towards our veterans by celebrating one day to acknowledge what they did to manage and protect the United States. Unfortunately, the holiday's meaning becomes watered down and is only thought of simply as a day off, but all should observe the actual intentions of the important
holiday. The whole idea behind Veteran's Day has grew into a trivial matter, the meaning has become vague and ignored over the years, but we should all know the importance it has to us. Being able to gather all their courage and to step up and take the task and hand, we would never know it would be like to be in their position. History is marked with distinguished men and women who defended this nation, to whom we remember on Veteran's Day. In the present, we appreciate for what we could not have done, and honor all veterans, whether it be years ago or now. All of this bloodshed leave scars on our past, but we know to make a better future, we have to learn from our past.
