Transactional website report.

Introduction.
I am Harley Gallagher and I am a student at Malting’s Academy studying A Level ICT. Within the subject in Unit two my current unit. I have been asked to study a Transactional website so I chosen Nintendo as I am well aware how their Transactional website works and I am familiar with the company’s history.
Digital economy.
Digital economy is a big part of the ever changing and expanding world of ICT. It is a major part in businesses because it allows them to have a large range of customers and is a cheap way for places like Nintendo to sell their products. Digital economy is like an online marketplace where people can buy and sell goods using their bank account details or by using pay-pal the digital economy also allows businesses big or small to adapt to changes and communicate within the business world.
The history of Nintendo.
Nintendo the well-loved game company that is known for Pokémon, Zelda and of course Mario was established in 1889 in that year Fusajiro Yamauchi began by manufacturing flower cards in Kyoto in Japan. In 1902 Mr. Yamauchi started to manufacture the first western-style playing cards in Japan. These were intended for export. However the product became popular in Japan as well as the rest of the world.
In 1970s the company developed a laser clay shooting system which rivalled bowling as a major pastime in Japan. Nintendo also developed an image-projection system and employed the 16mm film projector in amusement arcades. They also with the help of Mitsubishi Electric managed to make the first videogame system using an electronic video recording player a first for Japan.
In the 1980s Nintendo had created Donkey Kong where the carpenter wasn’t called Mario but was called Jumpman and was not changed from Jumpman till Nintendo’s landlord Mario Segali died. When released Donkey Kong had become the world’s most profitable coin
