When I saw pictures of the Great Blue Hole in the internet I got the heebie-jeebies. When we get to Port Royal I want to go snorkeling to see the “Famous sunken towns.” The amazing artifacts down there are amazing its worth going to Jamaica. The thing I want to see the most is the Basilica Nuestra Senora de Chiquinquira and Plaza del Rosario de Nuestra Senora de Chiquinquira in Maracabello, Venezuela. Hello, my name is Lexie. I am about to turn 15 years old. This means I finally get to have my Quinceanera! You may be wondering, “What is a Quinceanera?”. A Quinceanera is a Hispanic tradition that celebrates a young girl’s coming of age. I may live in America, but my family is HIspanic. My dad is from South America, and my mom is from Mexico. I can’t wait to be able to celebrate my Hispanic heritage! Another question you may have is, “Why do Hispanics have a Quinceanera?”. The Quinceanera celebrates a young girl’s (Me!) and acknowledges her journey from childhood to womanhood. “What happens at a Quinceanera?’, you ask? My family aboard the boat began to worry for one another safety. We were now in a life-threatening storm on the midst of a furious river. I observed the innocence of a child in my niece as the depressing look of fear surrounded her shivering, cold, wet body. Yet, she remained hopeful and prayed to God for eternal life in Heaven. We cried out desperate prayers while the raging storm pounded our pontoon boat like a boxing match. My grandfather maintained the courage and strength and proceeded to steer the boat in the horrific scene.…
