patient body. Then the doctor may explain the procedure the patient will have to go through to fix or help with the situation. Though if the doctor has a hard time finding a way to say or show something the message may end up being decoded incorrectly. There are two types of channels called the visual and auditory which is transmitted to the receiver.
The receiver will decode the message depending on their personal view or belief. For example if a doctor tells a patient that they are sick or have an illness the patient might pray instead of taking the prescribed medicine because of their beliefs. The patient may be able to tell what the doctor has to say before the doctor even gives them the news. This is usually because of the posture or the gesture that the speaker or in this case the doctor uses. Though a message could be blocked because of a noise that is happening around them whether it is internal or external noise. An example of external noise is that the baby could be crying while the doctor is letting the mother know what is going on. This could make it to where the mother misunderstands the doctor or is unable to hear. An example of internal noise is that the parent could be worried about the child and that is the only thing on their mind. This would make their mind clouded which would interrupt the message that coming from the doctor and is known as the psychological
cause.
Feedback is a way the speaker knows how to turn the conversation depending on the audience facial expressions. A doctor may try to take a slow approach to the patient family when they have bad news to tell them. They may start by telling the patients family to take a seat and then end up telling them what happened. Then if necessary the doctor may try to comfort the family and tell them everything will be alright. They also use patient’s facial expressions to tell when the patient is lying to them about a question that they asked.
