Based on the Jib Fowles’ “advertisings fifteen basic appeals “each one of these appeals has an effective meaning in this world. Based on these fifteen appeals I have chosen the fourth appeal which is “the need for guidance”. This appeal has an amazing meaning in the context of the world we live in, but each one of us have a different explanation and meaning to it. In My opinion the meaning of this appeal is to help people understand themselves in terms of personal ability, interest, motivation and potential. The need for guidance is to be protected, shielded, guided. many people need for be guided and supported by others.
The main source to having a better life is supported and guiding one another. Supporting one another can help
This appeal does help businesses sell product because if everyone supports and guides one another in the company the company will be successful in selling their products. “even when the product has no history at all, our need to conform to tradition and to be guided are strong enough that they can be invoked through bogus nostalgia and older actors.” (Fowles pg.193) as stated in the text every community has their own businesses and companies so when you are involved in your community you know what these companies and businesses are disturbing. People most of the time do not see the beauty of supporting one another or mistake support as being weak. To break this cycle that we live, you must be the change and show what people are missing out on. When we build a community, we build, is the same community that will bring us up when we are done. Also when we grow as a community we can appreciate living even more. Therefore, we should always give back and help our community to make it a better
