"I very much appreciate the tea, but I am feeling quite tired from my journey. I think I'll have to retire to bed." Billy saw a faint glint of happiness in the landlady's eyes as he said this. Oddly, he didn't think much of it.

He felt as if his heart stopped. Leaning against the wall for support, he beat his chest with his fist. When he had calmed down, he walked closer to the landlady. "Thank you very much! I will be sure to drink it!" The landlady smiled and left. Billy moved towards his bed in deep thought. How had she gotten in his room? He had left before her. He decided against his exhaustion. Billy peeked into the hallway. The woman was nowhere in sight. He crept up the flight of stairs. The fourth floor was a long hallway. It had one door. There were two men. Billy knew this was not normal. These men must have been good friends. He approached the door. It looked different than his door, heavier, noise proof.
