In order for a church to carry out its mission it needs effective leader/leadership. But what is leader/leadership? In spite all that has been said about leadership there is no universally accepted definition of a leader/leadership. Perhaps the next best definition of Christian leader is taken from The Making of a Leader by Bobby Clinton: “a person with God-given capacity and God-given responsibility who influences a group of followers toward God’s purposes for the group.”(p.127).
