letter to my favorite teacher

Dear Mrs. ----

I don’t know if you even remember me, but I was a student in your class. This may be totally unexpected, but I wanted to thank you for being an incredible teacher. Having you as a teacher might have been a long time ago but I do remember that in your classes, you would always encouraged me to do more than I thought I could. Thank you for listening, for answering questions, and for caring about me as well.
To me you were more than just a teacher, you were a friend and a mentor. Thank you for making me smile even when I had bad days, and for making me a better person. You understood my problems and tried to solve them on a personal level. I feel truly grateful to you for being the person you are, inside and outside the classroom. I will strive to become like you because even after so many years what you taught me is still relevant.
Thank you for your patience because you could have just labeled me as lost case and walk away but instead you helped me, and I appreciate that. I truly respect you and I’m glad that I had you as my teacher, if I could I would go back to experience 8th grade all over again. I truly stopped and reflected on how you have touched my life and helped me grow. Thank you for teaching not just talking and thank you for showing me what I want to achieve is possible.
