She was grateful for all my help, and I still continue to listen to her, and offer my help to her everytime we talk. All the people who have told me “Thank you” was another reason for me to continue doing what I loved to do- help people, and make them feel safe. Providing a safe place for people to be themselves became one of my favorite things to do. This lead to me becoming an active member of my school’s GSA (Gay-Straight Alliance) Club at the beginning of my high school career. Certain setbacks lead to me being unable to be overly active until my Junior year, which is when I became the Vice President. I helped send surveys to students in order determine the safety of our school, and the different levels of bullying happening both in school and out of school. I went to meetings and parties where we all talked about school and home problems. Helped out anyone who appeared to need it. The end of that year finished with a bitter taste as one of the students at our school publicly attacked the GSA club, posting pictures of our meeting with captions describing it as a “Faggot
