Lifeguarded Swimming Pools
After talking to several people from different backgrounds, mostly about things I find interesting, and of course some things they find as interesting or “not optimal”, I came to choosing one simple idea I liked.

The problem I discussed with Nitai was public swimming pools, and the fact that sometimes it’s “easy” for the lifeguard to miss the signs of a drowning person, especially if the person suddenly sinks and goes under water without showing any previous signs. Especially when the pool is crowded, the lifeguard simply can’t see everyone at every single moment.
Statistics shows that Each Year, Over 200 People Drown In Lifeguarded Swimming Pools,
We watched a few videos catched by surveillance cameras in public pools where in some cases

‘‘The Lifeguard’’ by Mary Morris is a short story that focusses on change over time. A lifeguard accustomed to be the lord of all he surveys and with a big self-esteem, has a rude awakening when he proves deficient in the first aid needed to save a toddler, Becky, on the beach. The author demonstrates that we realise what we have only when a shattering event occurs. Trough characterization, foreshadowing and symbolism, Morris infers that once we realise what we have, it’s too late.…

A major theme in my life is improvement. I challenge myself to take risks and set high expectations for myself. For instance, I strive to run faster and for longer distances every couple of times I approach the treadmill belt. I am obstinate about my minimum distance, 2.2 miles, and my minimum speed, 6.8. A major component of improving myself is learning. Every new word is a miniscule enhancement of my massive English vocabulary pool, but it is still a step in the right direction. I enjoy becoming more knowledgeable in both domestic and international affairs. I wish I could have more time to pour into reading current event and health articles. I am particularly attached to drumming the latest scientific discovery or innovate biotechnology product…

This summer job was located at the local swimming pool where I worked for three summers, watching hundreds of bathers enjoy their summer fun. There were three other lifeguards that also worked with me. So, why did we choose this job to sit up on a ‘perch’ for 25 to 50 minutes at a time when it's a sweltering 100 degrees on a daily basis? We all loved coming to work at the pool because it wasn’t like any other job that many teenagers had in our hometown. For starters, we got to be outside and dress very comfortably. Wearing a swimsuit with one of our lifeguard shirts was our dress code for work, and our biggest necessities on the job were a whistle, a hat, and lots of water. With a sociable and supportive management and friendly co-workers, I never dreaded going to the pool to work.…
