Because I work at the Lower Keys Medical Center everything I do has to be with the utmost care because any slip-ups could have been effect on current and future patients. The nurses benefited because they were given more time to care for the patients and because it alleviated some of the stress of the minor parts of the job. The patients benefit it because the nurses were able to pay more attention to them instead of everything else. They also benefit it because they had someone to talk to and communicate with in case they were too scared of the nurses. The number of people positively affected ranges in the thousands the intensive care unit roughly helps eight people a day multiply that by two days a week times 55 weeks and you get over 500 people. Although I will not continue volunteering at the Lower Keys Medical Center after high school I plan to get a degree in nursing and go back and work for this Lower Keys Medical
