Mango's Restaurant Analysis
This week’s restaurant review brings us to Mango’s Mexican and American grill located at 2901 Main Ave, Fargo, ND. The authentic Mexican joint featuring homemade delicacies has plenty to offer if you are looking for the full Mexican experience. You may miss the restaurant due to the small sign but once you locate the building you are in for a good time. The atmosphere stands out from the time you enter the door to a Spanish greeting. The employees all of which spoke great English were also very fluent in Spanish. The decorations were very festive almost as if you were at a Cinco de Mayo party at a restaurant South of the border. The atmosphere was enhanced even more by the very bright and energetic Spanish colors that catch your eye immediately. …show more content…
The enchilada sampler seemed like a solid selection and something that would represent the different types of enchiladas that Mango’s has to offer. The dish features four enchiladas with refried beans and rice on the side. The bean enchilada was not good at all. It was bland and lacked flavor in all ways. The tortilla which was undercooked on all the enchiladas had a rubbery texture to it and the cheese was sparse. The cheese enchilada managed to be worse. The cheeses that were not melted were wrapped in another bad tortilla and had absolutely no flavor. The beef enchilada has the potential to be good but the beef itself could use some work. It tasted as if it had no seasonings and paired with a little cheese there was nothing there to brag about. Lastly the chicken enchilada was the only one of the four that had a right to be on the menu. The chicken was very good just like in the taquitos and was a nice treat after the poor taste of the enchiladas that preceded it. The tortilla was not good, but the chicken was able to make up for it. Of the four enchiladas the chicken was the only one that didn’t have to be drenched in sauce to make it edible. The sides were about as opposite as possible. The refried beans were just as bland as the bean enchilada and there was nothing that could be done to improve the taste. The Spanish rice was delicious. It had great flavor and should be put in some of the enchiladas to do something to help with the lack of

Once everything is lined up, we get our tortillas we made earlier and fry them. We have to be careful not to over fry them, but a little crispy is preferred. We usually deep fry about six at a time, take them out and drain them on a napkin, to get the access oil off. We then put them on a plate and began to assemble them in the following order. To our tortillas, we add a pinch of beans, a pinch of chorizo and potato, chesse, sprinkle cabbage and drizzle the spicy tomato sauce over everything. Once we have completed this with all six of our enchiladas and added a piece of chicken,…

In the 90's it was very hard to find a fast pace food environment that could actually serve quality food, that’s where Chipotle began to stand out. Bringing authentic and fresh Mexican ingredients is one of the many things that makes chipotle stand out to their competition. Chipotle meats are fresh, never frozen, left over night to marinate and grilled fresh every hour .They raise their cattle in humane conditions which help the quality of their meat, from my experience at dinging in this restaurant it always carries a peculiar taste as compared to other restaurants who have added hormones to enhance flavors. You can taste the unadulterated flavors in their vegetables, salsas, and guacamole versus the genetically modified condiments provided at other establishments. Chipotle is one of the few places that thrive on quality and quantity in a fast food environment yet still guarantying fresh flavorful organic ingredients. For those who are now a part of the health conscious wave this is without a doubt the best option for not only them but for…

Enchiladas are considered a messy food because of the sauce it contains; as a result, I will have to clean myself up. The sauce of the enchiladas was made to be messy with hands. As any Hispanic culture, no fork is used for an enchilada. The hand was made to grab the enchilada and put into the mouth. The only result is, once the tortilla…

For my second cultural activities, i went to eat at a Mexican restaurant called El loro that is located in crystal. They had a lot of options but I decided to try enchiladas de mole which are traditionally made mostly in Mexico. enchilada has been the most popular Mexican dishes for a long time. Even though enchiladas were first introduced 19 centuries they became popular in the 20 the century. Some people have traced back the origin of enchiladas to pre-Columbian culture particularly to the Aztecs. However, this is only partially true because the Aztecs had chili peppers, sauces, and tortillas but there is no evidence suggest that they made anything similar to what Mexicans call enchiladas. Plus, many ingredients that are used to make enchiladas…

The Revolutionary War was a tragic and painstaking war fought between America and Great Britain from April nineteenth, 1775, to September third, 1783. The main conflict was over America’s longing for independence, and Britain denying them of this freedom. Even though Britain was at the height of its power, and the United States had a ragtag army and limited resources, America was the unlikely victor. While Britain appeared to have the upper hand, America had a few unpredictable advantages. First of all, allies such as France and Spain aided them on many different grounds that pulled them to victory. Strength was also found in the leadership from the generals, particularly George Washington.…
