The summer of my freshman year I decided that I could be on the Freshman football team and be in the MRHS marching band not realizing the time requirements needed for each activity. In the summer I was not the best lineman in the field I was decent. On the other hand in marching band i was a good Trumpet player being the second highest trumpet. But when I heard those words “I’m sorry there are no positions here for you on any of the teams” but all I heard was “You are the worst one here even though you worked all year.” For the next few hours i thought to myself that i am am just not meant as an athlete. I loved band no matter if i was the best or the worst in my section. If I was one of the worst I would work hard and get better and it would show. I could hit higher notes and play better. I learned that everyone has their niche and mine was in band I was good and i loved
