An engineering degree at age 21, an advanced technical degree at 23, first engineering job at 23, a product development engineer at 26, a project manager at 28, an operations manager at 32, a business strategy director overseeing engineering and manufacturing in a global company at 35, a full fledged entrepreneur of a manufacturing company at 40…….. “You must be insane, be realistic” is a comment I get from people looking at this career plan. However, this is the career path I have been following in my pursuit to become a successful entrepreneur, a career path that has evolved and refined over the last decade. The past century has thrown open the doors for unabated technological advancement in delivering new products, and has created opportunities of growth in newer dimensions beyond imagination. To excel in the workplace of tomorrow, one will need to posses a perfect blend of technical knowledge with analytical and managerial skills. To realize my dreams and to achieve my career goals, I foresee Indiana University’s ‘Kelley School of Business’ as the right destination.
