necessarily have a team leader as all work is evenly divided. However, we have a member Megan, who does most of the final proofreading and submission. Each of our team members has strong leadership, which is an important ingredient to any successful group. The role of a leader often makes the difference between success and failure. In our charter, we address the qualities and actions of strong and effective leaderships.
Another success for a long-term team depends not only on the combined skill set of team members but also their personality and cultural background. benches.
Sports teams are functionally diverse and they are a collection of members with different specialized skills and knowledge each member can to contribute to the team. Let's use the NBA basketball team, the San Antonio Spurs as an example; the Spurs are known for their teamwork in the NBA. The famous coach Gregg Popovich who has developed this team-center philosophy runs the team. The role and responsibilities of each individual member have the mission to support each other as everyone is in the same circle. Passing the ball to their teammates and not hogging it increases Spurs possibilities to score. The spurs made and an estimate of 95 more passes per game than the Miami heats during the 2014 finals. On top of the Spurs’ teamwork, the number of nationalities within the team and diverse set of skill was a huge advantage for the Spur. There is Tony Parker who was born and raised in France and used to paly for the France basketball team. There is also Manu Ginobili from Argentina and Patty Mills from Australia.
The key to every sports team is trust.
Players must trust each other’s ability to finish a play when necessary. Going back to the San Antonio Spurs, the team let other players take the lead role depending on their performance and progress. The leadership message created by coach Popovich is that everyone can make a difference in the team. The Spurs is surrounded with high-level of respect and consideration for their teammates. Overall, teamwork is extremely important in sport but sometimes members would forget about teamwork when they are in the spotlight. Some members do not like passing the ball when needed just so the can get an extra second fame if they score. This is selfish, therefore, at times team players needs to take a step back and think about the scoring for their team and not scoring for
themselves.
