Monologue From Italian Proctor's Epilogue To Othello
~Dominic’s POV~
I was standing in front of my own home, afraid to enter. This had happened only a hand full of times in my life. The last one being because of the man standing beside me now. He had destroyed a part of me that I hadn’t known existed until it was gone. Friendship. I was barely friends with Piran now, the man I used to call my best friend. The only person that I could faithfully say was still my friend was Lucie. For some reason, I felt a deep connection to her, almost to the point where I would do anything for her. Not so much in the romantic sense, though if she asked, I’m wasn’t entirely sure if I would say no.
“Are we going to go inside or are you going to continue to stare at that door handle as if it was your long lost lover

He reminds him of you.” I cringed at his words. Ray knew that I wasn’t all together gay, yet he respected my relationship with Othello. I suppose I wasn’t the only one who came in here and got information, no matter the cost. I walked over to the secluded section that Othello had made himself at home in. Otto lived upstairs in one of the suites, being one of only a hand full of guests to live here full time in the harsh Switzerland cold. I stopped in front of the couple and cleared my throat, waiting for Othello and Godfrey to stop. Othello’s eyes widened at the sight of me and I could help the small smile that shot onto my face when he bounced up and came over to me. He would have thrown his arms around me if it weren’t for the two mixed drinks in front of …show more content…
He just freaked out. He got really pale and then he started to shift-,”
“Is he still here?”
“I… I don’t know,” I felt the bones in my body start to break, an inhuman roar tearing through my body as my body seemed to shift without my control. Bone to bone I shifted, trying to reach back to the surface of my own reality, trying to gain back control. All was lost though when my paws once again touched the ground, as they began to carry me away to a place I didn’t know.
“Snap crackle pop. It’s time to give the pup a shot. Eight nine ten, let’s slaughter his best friend. Tick tock the clocks run out, it’s time to give your final shout, give up little Dommie. Time’s up!” This time a scream left me, and it took me a few seconds to realize it was because I was once again back in human form. Beau and Othello were running towards me, each with mixed looks of concern and fear.
“What’s going on?”
“Snap crackle pop,” the words left me before I could stop them. Beau paled and turned towards Othello.
“Godfrey was one of them? Do you have any idea what they did to him?”
“What? What do you mean one of them? Veadboroian into the

I found the expression quite funny, but I didn’t laugh, knowing he lash out. This time when I stood up he didn't stop me. But as I started down the stairs he called, “I will find you, my lady, and when I do, you will come with me. Do not forget. You are the first I had seen with such beautiful hair.”…

    Monologue Of John Proctor

My name is John Proctor, I consider myself to be a rebellious, logical, noble, and handsome young man. Today I am here to talk about my story, a story that changed my life and one that I learned from and never forget. I shall start by stating the truth that I have a good reputation in my village and married to Elizabeth Proctor, she is my wife in which I would cut my hand off to reach out to her. I am an angel of this world and I do no – wrong, but I am caught with one major flaw of my own, which is the affair I had with my servant of the house, the maid if I must say, Abigail Williams, while I was married. It was the fault of my own, a nonsensical, brainless decision on my part.…

The next thing I knew I was curled up on the pavement a few paces away from the choking Ponyboy. I felt like stabbing myself with the switch in my hands as I watched the prone body of the drunk Soc lying next to me. At that moment there was a silent battle raging inside my head, I wanted to run away and hide and leave Ponyboy but also how I wanted to just start that night over. “We can’t just waste time here,” I was starting to get frantic. Then, I saw Ponyboy get up and stare at the dead body.…

Within Act 5, Scene 2 of the Shakespearian play Othello, Lodovico tells Othello he is to lose command and Cassio will become the governor of Cyrpus instead. Subsequently, Othello is to be held prison and will await trial. It is from this point in the play that Othello protests his great service to Venice. From lines 338 to 356, Othello states his final speech before ultimately taking his own life. Here, Othello expresses his grief over what he has done feeling a strong sense of sin in his actions. His ego is still intact however as he mentions that he has done a great deed to the state despite the overshadowing for his act. Othello reaffirms his position as a figure who is simultaneously included and excluded from Venetian Society. Apparent in his final statement, he uses contradictions to explain his mental state before and after the manipulation of Iago. Another aspect revealed is the extent to which his sins have affected him and how he longs for the battles that helped him woo Desdemona’s love through his heroic stories.…

A man falls into a violent epileptic shock from sheer anger and jealousy. Othello is an aspiring man, who under delusional rage, allows revenge to blind him and so he betrays the trust of friendship and marriage. Actions alone can merit the characterization of evil simply because some deeds are too purely vicious and malignant, however William Shakespeare’s Othello creates a character of far greater intricacy than sole action- intricacy demonstrated by the development of language and expansion on plot and character.…

I think cognitive dissonance is extremely common in our lives, whether we realize it or not. Almost every day I can say that I am faced with cognitive dissonance. For example I’m on a diet and I know I should not be eating sweets, but when I come by one, even though I’m telling myself in the moment I shouldn't be doing this, I eat the sweets anyway. Shortly before or after eating it I will try to justify in my mind why I just did that or why it was ok. Something like “oh it was just one; as long as I don't keep doing it I’ll be ok.” Just telling myself this in my head is enough sometimes to continue with my actions even though I know I’m contradicting myself.…

With these final words, Othello stabs himself in the chest. In this farewell speech, Othello reaffirms his position as a figure who is simultaneously a part of and excluded from Venetian society. The smooth eloquence of the speech and its references to “Arabian trees,” “Aleppo,” and a “malignant and a turbaned Turk” remind us of Othello’s long speech in Act I, scene iii, lines127–168, and of the tales of adventure and war with which he wooed Desdemona. No longer inarticulate with grief as he was when he cried, “O fool! fool! fool!,” Othello seems to have calmed himself and regained his dignity and, consequently, our respect (V.ii.332). He reminds us once again of his martial prowess, the quality that made him famous in Venice. At the same time,…

I stood hopelessly in the corner of a small, sterile room with white walls and fluorescent lights that hummed softly overhead. Here, where my older brothers Alan and Denny sat next to each other, Alan lay pale and weak in bed, looking so small and fragile, like he was just a shadow of the boy he used to be. Denny sat down beside him quietly with his thick voice filled with tears. I didn't understand what was happening, as I was young and all I know is that Alan is gone. that's what Denny told me at least before he made me leave the scary room…

In this piece of work it will be asserted that child labour in developing countries is a contentious and challenging topic. Child labour issues are highlighted in context with two different industries. On one side, Bhukuth and Ballet (2006) detect the role of parents in pushing their children to work, in order to increase family productivity in a brick kiln industry in India and on the other side, Winstanley et al. (2002) observe a subtle involvement of a sports footwear manufacturing industry in Vietnam dealing with child labour issues and thwarting them.…
