Moulattos: The Root Cause Of Racism Today
Racism again still continues today through inter mixing of African Americans with other races in the world. Sambo is a person who is mix race mainly African heritage and other race. However in the movie, African and African American build families with White people which are called “mulattos”. In other situations, African people mix with Native Indian people is another kind of Sambo ethnicity. Bu engaging in this behavior such as in today’s present time, many families and other cultures are highly negative to other cultures mixing in their race. For example, my friend is a Filipino born in the Philippines however he now lives here in the United States for 10 years. He tells me that “ my relatives most of the time tells me to find a Filipina
(girl) girlfriend and not those Black and Mexican cultures”. Later in life, my friend got married and have two babies with a Mexican woman. Their off spring is an example of a Sambo mixture of two race. In conclusion, ethnic racism still exist today in many families and different cultures even though those people are people’s relatives.
