The popular television show, CSI: Crime Scene Investigations has been on the air for 12 years, and it has brought forth the behind-the-scenes actions of criminal investigations, even if its portrayals are not always scientifically accurate. This has caused an interest in the forensic sciences that has led most people to a skewed view of how a criminal investigation actually works. The reality of a criminal investigation is that it is generally more tedious and difficult than the theory of criminal investigation would have you believe. By examining the forensic and investigative procedures of the case of Pamela Foddrill, it is apparent that the theory of criminal investigation was not representative of the procedures concerning examination of the body, but that it was demonstrative of much of the investigatory steps taken by police, like search warrants. On August 18th, 1995, 44-year-old Pamela Foddrill disappeared from the town of Linton, Indiana. Pamela went to buy some groceries at the local IGA and was abducted: her body was found wrapped in a sleeping bag near Russellville, Illinois four months later. Roughly four years later, five individuals were held responsible for their part in the abduction, rape, and murder of Pamela Foddrill: Roger Long, John Redman, Jerry Russell Sr., Wanda Hubbell, and Plynia Fowler. Long, Redman, and Russell are serving life sentences, while Fowler pled out to 14 years and Hubbell pled out to 20 years of incarceration.…
Mustangs are wild horses, the word mustang comes from the Spanish word “mesteno” which means wild or feral. These horses were originally Spanish ponies that escaped and became wild. They live in herds where a stallon [a boy horse] leads his band or herd to food and water. He also protects his herd which are all mares [which are girl horses] If another stallion tries to steal mares, he will have to fight the other stallion who has the mares. If the other stallion wins the first stallion has to give one mare to the other stallion.…
After reading the case study over Peggy Isaac I believe that Ms. Isaac is suffering from a generalized anxiety disorder (GAD). Generalized anxiety disorder according to the textbook is characterized by a nearly constant state of worry and apprehension about a wide variety of events or activities, over a 6-month period. Furthermore, she developed acute anxiety not being able to leave her apartment nor go the store after 3 months after her breakup.…

During the trial Robertson's counsel had the plant managers secretary provide testimony. The secretary of the plant disclosed during her testimony that she had been made aware of the allegations and had notified the manager, and told him to address the issue, but instead no action was taken. Also, an expert was called in during the trail to analyze the documents provided by the organization and discovered that the documents were falsified and only created after Mrs. Robertson made her final complaint against the employees of the company. These documents helped the case against the organization and proved the Hunter and Carlisle were infact retaliating against Mrs. Robertson.…
As we conclude this school year, next year will pose different challenges for our migrant department. We are going to be implementing a new program as a Migrant team. Our job description will be changing for next year. The primary purpose for change in schools is to improve the instructional program and, in so doing, improve student achievement (Green, 2009). Throughout the years our main focus has been at the elementary level, but this upcoming year our focus will shift to the junior high level. Furthermore, with all these changes going into effect, we are also adding a new member to the team. As standard 2 states a school administrator is an educational leader who promotes the success of all students by advocating, nurturing, and sustaining a school culture and instructional program conducive to student learning and staff professionals (ISLLC2008). Steps are being taken to ensure we have a smooth transition. For example, the last week of school all migrant advocates will report to their junior high and be introduced to the staff. This will provide an opportunity to meet teachers and staff before the beginning of school. Furthermore, groups will be assigned and individuals will…

One thing that stood out in our discussion is that the preschool program offered by Estrella Family Services needs more teachers. It was later on that I realized why I could not explicitly find stories of struggle from the people in my placement. As previously mentioned, I wrote on how difficult it was to find time to exchange meaningful conversations with the teachers. The reason is that there are not enough teachers. If there are more teachers, I’m sure there would be more time for me to engage in conversations with the teachers. That way, I will be able to get to know them even better and better identify the problems that the community is facing. From this discussion, I began to question the funding supporting Estrella Family Services. “Could it be that Estrella is low on funding?”, I asked myself. There is a possibility considering the teacher to student ratio. This is something that is worth investigating. If Estrella is indeed lacking financial support, then it is up to the students and faculty members of SCU to figure out a way to…
