Furthermore, multiculturalism also contributes to a large number of people immigrants into Canada. A recent survey conducted by Maclean’s shows that one third of population in Vancouver is immigrants. These newcomers need to buy houses, cars, and work on there; then pay tax to the government. Therefore, multiculturalism is an essential factor to prosper the economy.

In addition, multiculturalism educates people about other backgrounds. People in Canada can learn about different cultures. Due to its multiculturalism, we can taste Vietnamese, Greek, and Indian food in Vancouver without visiting these countries. We also can know about different religions and fashions in the multicultural society. Moreover, multiculturalism leads to several of languages appear in Canada. To learn the second language, we can find a native speaker easily. And the native speaker can teach us to speak language with the proper accent and pronunciation. Thus, multiculturalism brings about different cultures to learn for people.
