To : The Principal of Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Panglima

A report on the event of the 1Murid 1Sukan 1Malaysia Run of Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Panglima.

The Athletics Club of Sekolah Menengah Panglima have recently been involved in organizing The 1Murid 1Sukan 1Malaysia Run which had been held on 2 July 2011. The event which involves 1400 participant from form 1 until form 6 students, started at 7.45a.m. and finished at the afternoon. The route of the run is 1.5 kilometres. The run began from the school gate, they went through the small township of Pekan before they reached the end line at school field of Sekolah Menengah Panglima.

The event was held to increase fitness and the firmness of stamina, as well as to instill unity among multiracial students in the school. Moreover, the event has a role to expose the student's excellent performance, not only in academic, but in sports too.This is because the real excellent and harmony student is not only in the academic field. Student's achievement is being counted in the aspect of their academic, physical activities, moral conduct and emotion.

The event not just a run. There were many other activities such as an aerobic exercise in the hall of Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Panglima, which was conducted by the expert officer from the District Sport Department, Pekan. Besides, there was a futsal competition between male students and male teachers in the school field. Other students can watch their teachers playing a futsal game from the bank of the school field. Another activity was an exhibitions of 1Malaysia students activities throughout the year. Some of the exhibition material were borrowed from the District Sports Department, Pekan as to deliver the message of the important of sports in implementing 1Murid 1Malaysia goal in our country.

    Over the years, the Hillsborough High School has made Physical Education a mandatory requirment for all students to fulfill each year. Physical Education has been viewed as an essential time for students to develop leadership skills and teamworking skills. Students are also able to develop exercise habits for the future. Our celebration continuous in September 10, with our first event was opening of the exhibit that was prepared by the different teams which consists atleast 29-32 students, the teams composes of BSA, BSCA, BSBA, BSHRM, BST. We establish names to each group namely Team Kadayawan, Team Maskara, Team Sinukuwan, and Team Panagbenga. After the opening of the exhibit we proceed to our Cultural Dance that was practiced and prepared by our groups and perform in our school ground.
