my dream school
My Dream School

The other night I had a dream that my school was perfect. It got me thinking about my dream school. In my dream school I would like to have bigger lockers, school sports, and a food court in the cafeteria. First, bigger lockers would be awesome! Now our lockers are as small as a Cracker Jack box. We can’t even fit our jackets in there. I have to wear it all day and I get very hot sometimes. Another reason I think we should have bigger lockers is because there are a lot of kids saying that they lost their assignments in their lockers and as a result, they are failing classes. If we had bigger lockers we would not have that excuse and do better in our classes. Also students wouldn't be late because something got stuck in the locker. That happens to me all the time. Second, I would love to have school sports in school again. School sports would get kids more active. Instead of going home and watching television or playing video games, they would be exercising which is good for your health. If kids are healthy, they will do better in school. Teamwork is something that you learn from playing sports too. Teamwork is something that everyone needs to be successful in life. In almost any job, you need team work. School sports would also get kids to like each other more because everyone wants to win the games and the only way you can win games is by liking each other and working together.

Finally, a food court in the cafe would be great. In that food court I would like a K.F.C, Burger King, and Olive garden. That way we would have a variety of food to eat. The school would make more money too because kids would buy lunch instead of bringing it. With these restaurants in school, I think kids would eat better and therefore their brains would work better so they would learn more. All or these things would make my school a dream school. Bigger lockers, school sports and a food court would make school much more enjoyable. I

First things first our school lunch. The lunch that Napavine high school provides to us honestly isn't the worst thing, but when you only have 3 of the same things every week for the whole year it kinda gets old and disgusting really quick. If we had off school campus, we would have many options for lunches such as McDonald's, Burger King, Gas station,…

It would be great if all high school students have the option of eating lunch at Panera Bread or Pizza Hut. Usually students complain about their school lunches and how they don’t get fed enough. So if high school students had the choice of getting food off campus, schools wont to hear complaints from parents and students. “Nearly 1 and 3 high school campuses allow students to leave campus during lunch.” According to cironline.org…

Also, junior and seniors desperately need more independence. Independence is an important milestone for young generations. Not only would this new found freedom allow upper class students to eat where they want, instead of the not so tasty food that the school provides; but it would also encourage responsible social contact. Giving students the ability to eat lunch with any of their friends despite the lunch period. Don’t want to punish the whole student…

“School should be about learning, not sports”. Kids now a days love to play sports, but don’t like to learn. Learning, and get an education this is a very important thing in life you need it to have a good job so that you can have a family and support them. So I feel in school you must have good grades in order to play any type of sport, and if you do not then you should not be playing. A couple reasons I feel like this is for starters kids pay more attention to sports then they do in class. This is not how this should be. Kids should love to learn something new every day at school, but in some school that’s not the case. Kids need to learn.…

To begin with, eliminating recess is a good idea because it gives us that extra time to learn. We all know that the halls are crazy because of the limited time we have at our lockers, so we could use that time for lockers, because we all know some of our lockers are pretty small. Kids would have a lot more time to get organized, and so would the teachers. It would help to just eliminate recess and have more time!…

One reason why I think the dress code should be changed is because we should be able to have our shirts untucked. We should be able to have our shirts untucked because all we are doing is sitting there in class. Sometimes I want to move around, but really can't because my shirt is tucked in. If your shirt was untucked, you'd be able to do a lot more things. When your shirt is tucked in you might get more frustrated because it is so tight, which leads to getting off task and not being able to learn anything that day. People who are overweight might especially feel uncomfortable and probably a little embarrassed. I know if I was really overweight, I wouldn't want to go to school if I had to tuck in my shirt. I also think that having your shirt tucked in kind of makes students look kind of geeky, considering you have it tucked in all day. Students should have the freedom to dress more comfortably.…

“Research has shown that participation in outside of school sports and or other organized sports is associated with lower dropout rates, reduced problem behaviors, and increased school performance. Children build interpersonal skills, positive assets needed to become active and productive young adults. Studies suggest that children who are involved with after school sports or organized sports have higher self esteem, lower depression rates and have better opportunities for optimal growth and development”. (Howie, 2009) Children should play school sports or organized sports, because sports improve children’s self esteem, sports teach children skills that they can use to become leaders, and sports give children the exercise they need to stay healthy.…

When schools switch their foods, it would need more room because healthier food is always fresh and schools usually have bags of frozen food to serve to the students, which isn’t healthy at all but it also does not take as much room as storing all the fresh food. It would also cost the schools a lot more. They would not be able to store leftovers and use them the next day. They would have to…

As I have stated, the government spends approximately eleven billion dollars on schools across the country solely for the lunch program. Schools get only a portion of that money and can only buy certain amounts of healthy, yet cheap foods, Which is one of the reasons why school food tastes bad. However there are plenty of ways to avoid this problem by saving money and moving the money spent on less necessary concerns, such as new sports equipment. I believe that the school’s money should mostly be spent on food because of how important it is. Some students could be homeless or very poor, eating unbearable school lunches. The best schools could give them is free high quality food. Every other need from schools can be met with fundraisers and community…

An advantage to searches on lockers and personal things is the decrease of drug usage. Just by walking by some of the bathrooms in schools, one could smell the cigarette or marijuana smoke. When a school would check bags, purses, lockers, etc., the students are more likely not to risk bringing in illegal drugs or tobacco products. This in return would raise the student’s grades, ensuring better test scores on state exams, SATs, or any other exams. With the test scoring rates being higher, in return, the schools would get more funding.…
