I would not have been the captain of my 8th grade and freshman football team, along with my basketball and baseball teams, and would not be working at becoming a varsity captain in all those sports. I would not have been leading and helping those teams to get better, teaching them my skills, and getting us all to work together and win. I also lead with my academics which I take very serious. I have gotten many honors awards whether honors, high honors, or distinguished honors. Last year I placed in the top ten percent of my class, and have made it my goal to do it again this year, and I am on the right track by getting distinguished honors for the first marking period this year. I am a part of the honors club, and in grammar school I was in the National Junior Honors Society, where I tutored and helped many kids with their work they did not understand. Also I received the Presidential Award, in 8th grade, for my academics which was signed by Barack Obama. I do not only lead in school and in sports but outside of school too. I am an altar server for my church, where I serve in Sunday masses every week. Additionally I have done community service with the church, for example, I served meals to the elderly and helped prepare them, helped at soup kitchens, went around and cleaned up the town, and also helped and participated in many town events such as the Our Lady of Mount Carmel feast. I was also a boy scout and took part with them in many community service activities too, such as Slam Dunk the Junk, and helping with town events. Therefore, I do my best to lead by example and try to help in everything and everybody around me. In the end I hope my actions inspire others the way my uncle Louie inspired me. I hope my actions inspire the people around me to embody the characteristics I demonstrate every day, and in my eyes, this makes me a true
