My Leadership Philosophy Essay

As a young adult, I feel that leadership is one of the keys to a bright and successful future. One of my personal cherished quotes on leadership is, “If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more, you are a leader,” by John Quincy Adams. When I read this as a middle schooler, I then decided that it would be one of my enduring goals to excel as a leader. I used to feel apprehension towards challenges, but now I recognize that they only make me work assiduously for a finer outcome. I strive to be a leader in inspiring others to dream, learn, and to be someone that makes even a diminutive difference in this world.
Being an inspiration to others is a primary characteristic of an exceptional leader. I have always thought of myself to be someone who sets goals and does anything to achieve them. I have and will keep my promise to make excellent grades in school. I understand that this requires hard work, but that it will eventually pay off. I have inspired my family and friends to always give their utmost in anything they
I believe that a person my age should involve themselves in their community and strive to make it better. My community has treated my well, so this is only a small way to return the favor.
Furthermore, a leader never stops learning. I have always enjoyed learning new things and figuring out how things operate. I like to keep an open mind and gain knowledge each and every day. For example, I am currently enrolled in a health internship class where I can learn the basics in health care. I also get to job shadow at the hospital and other clinical facilities. When I heard about this class, I realized that it was an opportunity that I had to acquire. I enjoy the lessons and it amazes me how much I am able to learn in a short period of time. The class really prepares me for my future career in nursing and only captivates me more into the rewarding
