My Leadership Philosophy
When it comes to being a strong leader and taking a stand to step up and be a role model, there are many important tasks to fill and provide for others. To me, being a great leader and taking responsibility means to care about your teammates, family, friends, and anyone you are helping. As well as setting good attitudes and always bringing positive energy to the event, place, and situation. Being a leader isn’t always easy however, all you can do is try your best. A leader is someone who anyone can go to for help for advice, someone who maybe doesn’t know everything but, does know right from wrong. Also, someone who tries to get everyone involved and makes all of the members matter and feel important and welcomed to the group. Leadership is …show more content…
I have helped with back stage, make-up, set crew, painting scenes, and also being part of the background dancers. I am still proud to help out with the musical as much as I can. I know that the leads aren’t everything. Every part of an event this large matters, there isn’t a part that means more than another. We all matter and are important. I am always willing to step up and be a character they need or are missing. I am a fast learner, which helps with colossal changes or sudden incidents. One fact about the musical and the fact that you aren’t yourself when you are on stage, you have to change your mindset into the character whom you are acting as. This is very important because, it’s hard to change between characters at times. However it can be interesting to see what others do to get themselves to be strong and powerful in their character. Along with the musicals, I also help with the plays, I haven’t been as many plays as musical but I do still like to help out with what I …show more content…

So far, I have been in charge of being a manager, working in production, and also working in purchasing. I learned how to run a small business and the tasks that must be done to succeed. I am putting in a tremendously lager amount of effort and time to not only fulfill my job but, I do pick up other jobs that don’t get done or that others need help with. I will always go above and beyond the requirements of getting my assignments done because I have standards I am setting for myself and want to succeed with what I love along with the events of my

The play that my group and I read and presented was Behind Closed Doors, a play with the concept of, Tragedy in your past can affect your present if you do not let go and move on. The role I played was the director, which is a role in the theater, that’s very much so unappreciated. The purpose of the presentation project was to actually understand, hands on, what it takes to produce a Theatre play, and what the jobs and elements are to do so. In theatre, communication is key. Every job works in harmony with one another, and they all need each other to put on an incredible show.…

My role in our Bunraku performance was co-director with Varia. A director takes on a variety of jobs. We worked with the producer, actors and designers (set, costume, make-up and lighting). If something goes wrong, it is your job to fix it. For our story to take place, we had to assign many various roles- Director, puppeteers, musicians, chanter/narrator, lighting, set design, puppet makers, props, script writer, producer and someone to cast people. All tasks were difficult and taken with great responsibility. The greatest challenge of being a director was getting people to focus and getting the right amount of effort out of them. Since we spent long hours rehearsing, people were tired and frustrated a lot, so having to yell and tell them what to do. Lots of notes were taken because actors, narrators and musicians forgot cues, tempo and the effort they had to put in so we had to tell them how to improve. It was a lot of stress because Varia and I had to find music, have a vision of what the stage should look like, tell the puppeteers how to move the puppets and the emotion they had to portray.…

Leadership to me means being competent, hardworking and compassionate, but alongside this are some extra work of a leader and that is to be able to know when there is problem, how to identify the problem and how to solve the problem (keep in mind that to solve a problem has to be permanent, and not a temporary solution).…

A leader is a person who represents the whole class and motivate them. I did not believe I was a leader. During my freshman and sophomore year of high school, I was a quiet spoken individual who listens to what others have to say. It was not that I did not have anything to say, but it was the fear of saying something wrong and others disregarding what I had to say. I did several presentations in high school that made speaking in front of people more easier. However, I was still the timid person who wanted desperately to break my shell but did not know how. A shocking moment had occurred when I had became secretary of Zonta Club. It was junior year and I was surprised to have been part of the leadership team. I was able to discuss my ideas and to speak with the members at ease. It was my breaking point. I was given a privilege to be part of something that made a change. I was not just the soft spoken person, but I was a leader…

Now a new challenge came as I had been given the duty of technical director, which meant I had to manage all the aspects of a theatrical production such as lighting the stage, researching sound effects, building sets, gathering and making props, designing and sewing costumes, publicizing the show and lastly managing the finances. The first meeting we had was with our director and what he wanted for our production. I could not fathom the responsibilities I just assumed. Timidly, I kept on looking down at my notepad and taking note after note, naive. Also, viewing the portfolio of previously designed shows, there was a superior standard I had to help every crew attain before we presented the show. Many of the sets that have been done before paid much attention to color, detail, proportions and the principles of flawlessness. I thought to myself, “I have quite a big challenge ahead of me.” After the run of the show, the gaze and awe of the audience members exclaiming that they had gone to a Broadway quality show, gives me the great sense of pride and joy that I had done my part of the work to give these people a good time.…

Part of leadership is the ability to make a difference under difficult circumstances. But, what is a leader? A leader is a person or thing that holds a dominant or superior position within its field, and is able to exercise a high degree of control or influence over others. I portray the qualities that a leader has: persistance, determination, confidence, and passion. This past summer my gymnastics career went to the next level; I was offered a job at the gymnasium.…

Leadership has been present in my life in many different ways, through sports, academics and even through friendships. When I was younger I didn’t know what it meant to be a leader, I always though the “leader” was just the most popular or most liked person within a group, whether it be a sports team or group or friends. As I grew older, I realized that was not the case, leadership comes in many different forms and has many different aspects. I have been a cheerleader since I was about 5 years old, I have competed at different cheer gyms and on different teams but have never let go of the sport. When I was young I would always look up to the older girls, I never thought that one day I would actually be one of them.…

Leadership has always been important to me. From a young age, my parents, my teachers and my community promoted the idea of leadership as a crucial aspect to the betterment of not only myself as a person, but the people around me as well. By being a leader myself, as well as being influenced by the actions of others, I have truly learned the significant impact that a seemingly small action can have on a person, a community, and even the world. Though leadership and being a leader itself is difficult to define, I have come to realize that leadership exists within everyone, it is simply up to each person to use their gifts to positively impact others. Even though many people view a leader as someone who is firm, authoritative and bold, these…
