My Restoration Experience: The Call To The Ministry
The call to the ministry is closely connected to how God out his infinite mercy saved me from eternal damnation. I was in secondary school about two decades go when some believers were arranged by God to bring about my salvation. The week I gave my life to Christ I received the infilling of the Holy-Spirit through laying on of hands. But after some time I back-slidded yet the Lord restored me back to the faith.
I had dramatic restoration experience compare to my salvation experience because during that period till date I had confirmed vision about my future in the ministry. Interestingly, friends and close family members also confirmed the hand of God upon my life. As a matter of fact one of my uncles said I had set the city of Warri ( Warii

Invariably, I believe that the Bible is a revealed scripture from God through the various writers, that the canonized 66 books from the protestant perspective are the revelation of God meant to tell humanity about God and his plans for mankind. I believe that baptism by immersion is the right and scriptural way to do baptism. I believe that salvation can come from no other and there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we can be saved other than the name Jesus Christ of Nazareth. I believe that Jesus is God in human form that was born of a virgin, betrayed and crucified for the sin of humanity but God raised him the third day for the justification of Christians. I believe that it is the Holy-Spirit that convicts people of sin, the Holy-Spirit also make salvation possible and through the Holy-Spirit we can gain sanctification. I believe that the Holy-Spirit distributes gifts to christians according to God's will. I believe that there are gates of hell under the leadership of the devil. I believe that before the fall, Adam was innocent that is he was neither righteous nor sinful, the choice to disobey God brought sin and humanity to a falling state which Jesus came to

Mission Theology would best be described as God’s involvement in mission and how he utilizes his creation, man, to further His Kingdom and the salvific message of his Son, Jesus Christ. We will look at God’s word to see how the Old Testament as well as the New Testament views missions. We will also look at how the nature of God relates to missions. We will identify two key themes or motifs of mission theology and finally, we will address how mission theology relates to (1) a missionary (2) church leaders (3) lay people not in full-time…

At Justified By Faith Baptist Church in Indianapolis, IN, I, Daniel H. Weems, Sr. serve as an Associate Pastor. We are a new church plant about seventeen months old and have around fifty active members. I have been asked to organize and implement a soul care ministry within the church. This mission reminds us that for the Kingdom of God to continue to break in, individual lives need to be changed, while being motivated and equipped for transformation. Our Book of Discipline offers this cue: “God has used our church to save persons, heal relationships, transform social structures, and spread scriptural holiness, thereby changing the world.” When we change lives and introduce people to the all-loving nature of God, we indeed transform the world. When making disciples, the Church welcomes people into community, educates them on God’s call for Christians, and equips them toward using their spiritual gifts to serve as change agents playing a role in bringing about the Kingdom of…

These beliefs have all been shown contrary to God’s own truths in His Word. God promised to always preserve His word perfectly as it was originally inspired. If this is the case, one can truly see that the doctrine of salvation through grace plus works is a fallacy, and that salvation is by grace alone. Also one can see many evidences in the preserved Word of God that Jesus Christ is and always has been God. Although religion has often been degraded, God’s Word has always proven…

I felt that this was God's calling to follow my childhood passion, but unfortunately it has not worked out the way I had planned or thought. I have tried to make my time here a mission that God has instilled in me and to remain positive among all negative situations, but it has not been easy. The school I work at has many problems within the administration and staffing and it is far from a safe situation to be in. I left my family and all I knew to perform this position and am extremely disappointed of what has come in it, but know that God has a plan through all I do. I miss and crave the servant lifestyle and youth ministry greatly. I have tried finding weekend services and churches to go to, while here, but nothing has worked out, partially to the fact that my time is all put in to my job. Serving in TC was the time of my life, in each ministry- Teens, Kids, Hospitality, Baptism, Care-Kids, and Groups- Assistant Leader. I long for it, and hope to come back to…

Reconstruction is the period of time when America was rebuilding from the Civil War in a multitude of ways. The most challenging aspect of the Reconstruction was integrating the freed slaves back into American society and how everyone wanted to go about such a monumental change. Other more minor things that happened during the Reconstruction period (1865-1876) were: rebuilding everything that was destroyed during the Civil War, readmitting all of the seceded states back into the US, and reevaluating the current currency and making sure it was still in working order.…

As a Christian, I believe that salvation is a free gift of God the Father that is received by man through their personal faith in the Son of God, Jesus Christ and His sacrifice for the sin of the world. I believe the Bible when it states that “The wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord”. I believe that man is justified by grace thorugh faith and not of works. AS staed by the Apostle Paul in the Book of Romans Chapter 4 verse 5 “To him that worketh not, but believeth on Him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness”. I lastly believe that all true believers, once saved, are kept secure in Jesus Christ…

I realized that I wasn't content with how I was living or how I was not pleasing to God's will and his purpose for my life. At times, I would get discouraged, stressed, worried or felt like I was not good enough for God. As I begun reading Romans 12:2 over and over again, it reminded me that God loves me, and wants me to be the best I can be, because I was created in his image.…

It was very difficult for white southerners to accept the equal civil liberties of blacks and let go of their hate and anger against them. The social challenges from the Civil War continued well into the Reconstruction. It was just years before that war ripped through the battle grounds of southern states. Unfortunately, violence was no stranger to southerners whose past aggressions ran high because of personal loss and a failed rebellion.…

Reconstruction after the civil war even though worked years later, at the time was a complete failure at the attempt to fix the country. During this time the North while trying to help bring the economy back up in the south tried to fight for the rights of the African Americans in the South as well as to bring rights to the colored. People will argue and try to justify that it was successful because it passed the 3 main amendments of the time (which will be discussed later). Today yes those amendments today have a gigantic effect on the lives of our colored youth. During this time though these amendments meant nothing to the South, their only source of income came from the backs of the slaves. When the North took that income away the South…

Social and economic challenges played significant parts in drafting constitutional amendments and molding civil rights of individuals during the Reconstruction Era. The Thirteenth through Fifteenth Amendments were recognized as the Civil War Amendments because they were put in place directly following the war. Their purpose was to secure the ending of enslavement and give recently emancipated slaves equal protection and rights in the U.S. The Thirteenth Amendment was first put in place to abolish slavery and all forms of involuntary servitude, except for penance of a crime.…
