Like for achiever, I do approach every day at zero meaning I do not have any tasks I put off or anything left behind. However, I do note to myself that I have a set tasks in that day to complete and I do feel a sense of achievement when I complete a task. In the description, it also states getting all the excitement and feeling of accomplishment from completing daily tasks. Gives me the energy to work long outs hours without burning out. There was one talent that said it was one of my strength, that I feel like it is not. It was context, I do look back but I do not use the past as simpler times, I look at the present to see what I need to get done in order to have a successful future. The talents that I feel fits me best are achiever, input, and adaptability. I already state why achiever fits me because that is how I approach every day to get tasks done. Input, states I collect things whether it is information or materials. I do keep up with daily news and like to learn new things, I keeps my mind interested and not bored. I hold on to information because one day it will have use and value towards my career. Lastly, adaptability states I live in the moment and do not set the future as a fixed destination. I do view the future as that because life can throw anything at me and that would require me to be adaptive of what happened. I am interested in being a public accountant. Some of these talents could be applied to the job an accountant does. Such as starting the day at zero and feeling accomplished when I get tasks done during the

I make sure I complete my assignments before the deadlines, and I would give up the time going out to have fun to finish my work if I couldn’t finish them on time. I submit my own work and I would make sure to cite any references I used.…

My top five strengths for the strength finder test were deliberate, adaptability, maximize arranger, and consistency. For once I can say I’m actually satisfied with a computerized test about myself. One thing I can say about my results from this strength finder it’s a lot more accurate when it comes to the qualities I posses. My results do not match up close to previous held beliefs about myself. I am typically seen as the kind of person to play the leadership role in just about anything. The point of view from others of me being a leader is completely off, I feel the complete opposite. I am more of an observer, and I learn from not only the mistakes of others, but mine as well. The vocal portion of leadership is what I am not too fond. I could lead with actions, but vocally I’m not as sharp. Not only that, but I generally go off simply instincts, and not what is planned. Maximizing my strengths can happen in various ways. Arranger is a strength that can be maximized by more preparation and better using more time for organization. I believe there’s no such thing as being over prepared. Adaptability is a strength I could improvise on by being aware with a lot more situations so when the time comes I will be able to adapt in the best way possible. All of the strengths of mine can be maximized by me realizing what makes that strength of mine and not focusing on my weaknesses. The more I focus on my weaknesses the more ill back track. An individual cannot build performance on weaknesses, but one can on strength. Majority of the fields in business best suit my strengths. In a business environment consistency is huge. The more consistent person gains the most respect. The more consistent you are, the more reliable you’ll be seen as. If you’re seen as more reliable by your co workers they’ll enjoy your presence. Blind spots may result from overextending the maximize strength. You can by overextending the maximize strength by simply over…

In many cases, people find it difficult to label or categorize their natural talent. Because one is unaware of their natural talents, he or she experiences. During Gallup’s research on identifying talents, they discovered Throughout the course of Clifton’s work on studying talents, they discovered that the majority of people do not have careers that purse their natural talents (Rath, 2007). Out of 10 million people they surveyed, 7 million people were not engaged at work. When these individuals were not able to use their strengths they reported to dread going to work, have more negative than positive interactions with colleagues, treat customers poorly, tell friends what a miserable company they work for, achieve less on a daily basis, and have fewer positive, creative moments in the workplace (2007). To fix these problems, Clifton created a measuring tool in 1999 to categorize and identify talents. First, Clifton wanted to base his research on what is right with people instead of one’s weakness. Based upon previous tests, Clifton started studying work environments and how measuring one’s raw talents could be developed into strengths. He states that a talent is a “naturally recurring patterns of thought, feeling, or behavior that can be productively applied” (Harter, Hodges & Lopez, 2005). Next, he states that strength is an extension of a talent. In other words, if one has the gift of communicating well, then with practice, he can develop his talent for talking into a personal strength such as public speaking.…

Strength based assessment is a tool that focuses on people 's strengths rather than their problems, with an aim to move away from categorising the person as the problem and to focus on their strengths and resilience by empowering the client to be the problem solver. It is important for the worker to assist in recognising, organising and enhancing existing strengths and resources. The worker needs to be optimistic about what people can achieve by focussing on the capacities of individuals to be resourceful in different situations. Dennis Saleebey states (Saleebey, 2002) I firmly believe that once committed you will be surprised even amazed, at the array of talents, skills, knowledge, and resources that you discover…

I learned to diagnose my issues and problems and break them down individually so I can find a solution in finding my problem and also knowing where to start in solving my problem. I believe communication skills in one of the key requirements in any job field you choose to obtain because when someone encounter a problem you may have to speak or write to communicate to address the issue. In today’s world there aren’t many jobs out there that you don’t have to use the communication skill. Another trait I feel that I am strong at , that will help me tremendously mentally is my “laid back” personality. I often doesn’t panic during pressured times of my life, I’m a natural calm person when it comes to being put to the test and think I perform better when I know I have one chance in doing something or maybe even proving I can accomplish something.…
