coworker we would get along sometimes but the bad times outweighed the good times. Her personality type is ESTJ type. ESTJ means Extroverted, Sensing, Thinking, and Judging. She always focused on the here and now moments and not towards the future. She’s decisive and tries to be fair, but she’s spontaneously critical of others. Sometimes she thinks that conflicts solve problems, when in reality it causes more issues. I have come to the conclusion that personality assessments can determine who you are no matter which version it is.
The reason why I think this is because you are asked questions and given choices to choose from. In some cases it might be words and others might be statements asking how you feel and you choose the choice you feel is correct. Based on the answers that you select determines which category best describes you. However, I don’t think that this method is very useful in understanding the human behavior. The reason why I think this is because many people take these assessments and answer the questions truthfully depending on how they feel and the results will be accurate. While other people answer the questions as if they are from someone else’s perspective, and not their own. Meaning the way they think they should answer the
questions. After completing the Brain Lateralization Self-Assessment, my results concluded that I am left brain oriented. This means that I have particular strength in tasks that require verbal competence, analytical thinking, and I process information sequentially. I also learned that if you are right handed that the control of language is concentrated more in the left hemisphere (Feldman, 2010). In my opinion I think that both sides of the brain contribute to how we think, act, and do things in our daily lives. I find it very interesting that the brain is a whole but yet divided and each side controls different things.
