True friends are like diamonds, precious and rare. False friends are like dirt, found everywhere. Friendship should never be a difficult thing; it should always be the easiest thing in life. An insincere and evil friend is more to be feared than a wild beast; a wild beast may wound your body, but an evil friend will wound your mind. A true friend is a hand that is always holding yours, no matter how close or far apart you may be, someone who is always there and will always, always care, a feeling of forever in the heart. A best friend is the greatest of all blessings, and that which we take the least care of all to acquire. The most valuable thing in life is to have a friend, a true friend.

Misfortunes test friends and detect enemies. A misfortune tore apart the friendship of Sally and I. Not only was it something so miniscule and benign but also something that never should have caused so much conflict. All throughout the summer there was clearly some separation between us, but I did not assume anything of it. School came back around and Sally was neglecting Dani and I which was very unusual. I asked her why we were so distant because I am a very straight forward person. The situation blew up and things got out of control. She became very defensive, and started saying barbarous things. Sally might have regretted what she said later on or didn’t mean it, but I could not forget what was said. Once something has been said it’s hard to forget especially the barbarous words. Well the point is, a friend is someone who gives us the freedom to ourselves. One question about Sally and I is why couldn’t things be resolved? There was no solution. This could not be fixed because we couldn’t forgive and forget. I for one could never forget the barbaric things she said nor how easy it was for her to be so judgmental and crude to me. An insincere and evil friend is more to be feared than a wild beast; a wild beast may wound your body, but an evil friend will wound your

In our modern world we categorize true friends into a group of individualistic people. They are viewed as someone who will always be there to lean on, someone who will listen to your dilemmas with a deep insight, and in return, give you a response that is free from criticism. True friends are loaners of shoulders to cry on, an answer to a bad day that needs healing, and people who carry the identity that they are willing to give up anything for their companion.…

One would think that purchasing your first home would be a very fascinating experience; after all it is one of the most major purchases of your entire life. In America, home ownership ties in with the American Dream and the spirit of working hard to one day earn through hard work a home with a white picket fence. My husband and I felt that it was time for us to reward ourselves for all the hard work we have been putting in over the years by purchasing our first home, which was well overdue. I quickly learned the process of purchasing your first home can be very frustrating and stressful. However, if you survive the home buying process the reward is priceless once you move into your “American Dream.”…

Most people rely on the security and care of others to provide for their loved ones when they put them in a nursing home. What they don’t realize is how much neglect goes on to the people they care most about. Residents are at risk of being abused by their caretakers but they are also at risk of being restrained, which may lead to a form of abuse. At Southwestern Nursing Home I have witnessed forms of neglect and abuse. Nursing homes are meant to be a place for security for the elderly to be cared for in their golden years, and it has become an unpleasant experience for senior citizens being subjected to acts of abuse and neglect.…

There can be major physical changes and effects to a female’s body after having a child. In 2011 when I had my son the hospital gave me an epidural for the pain; they did the shot too high up on my back. As far as anyone knew I was fine. I showed no signs of problems until after I got out of the hospital, when I started having back spasms due to the fact that the epidural was done incorrectly. The female body goes through many natural changes; it prepares itself to be capable of having a child naturally and being capable of breastfeeding babies. It can also cause other effects that are not necessarily normal changes to the female body, for me the two main changes that I had were being anemic and having a hyperthyroid. The doctors told me that I was anemic because I had lost too much blood during labor and that the hyperthyroid was a result of my body changing after having my son but that it was nothing to worry about.…

I believe that “Love at first sight” is real. An actual feeling you get when you first lay eyes on that one special person. More special than anybody you’ve ever met. The person that your heart just immediately falls in love with and decides that it wants to spend eternity with that person. I believe in “Love at first sight” because I’ve experienced in before. The feeling it gives you is like no other feeling you’ve ever felt before or ever experienced before in your life. You wonder, “Did I eat something bad? What’s going on?” because you know it’s not butterflies in your belly. It’s something much more different than that, like your heart wants to come out and draw you towards that person it fell so much in love with. “Love at first sight” is easily confused with “Lust at first sight”, when somebody is only wanted for their body and nothing more other than for their personality and interests in life. “Love at first sight” was understood within the context of a more general conception of passionate love, a kind of madness, or as the Greeks put it, madness from the gods.…
