Narrative Essay About Getting Stitches
How scary does it feel to know that you have cut yourself open and you will be getting stitches? When I was seven I fell down the staircase and badly injured my head. It was a Saturday evening when me and my cousins were having a wonderful time playing hide and seek. It all started when we really got bored of playing football in my cousins backyard. I got an idea of playing hide and seek in the house. My parents and every adult in the house were fine with us playing inside the house, but with a rule that no one uses the upstairs as we were too young, and we could've gotten hurt. Everyone of my cousins including me agreed to the rule and we then started playing. For quite a while I wasn't getting tagged, so I was playing …show more content…

They started looking for me downstairs, checked every closet, under the bed, in the restrooms and even the kitchen, and I was no where to be found. After few minutes I decided to go down and scare them. Too much excitement, got my foot to slip on the staircase and I fell head first. Falling down, only thing I remember seeing was my teddy bear which I landed on. From that moment on, everything turned into a disaster. As soon as I got up i felt my head warm and wet at the same time. That only got me to thinking that it was blood. I immediately began crying because I knew I had split my head open. Everyone in the living room heard my cry and ran right to the staircase including my cousins. No one had any clue how I got injured. Without thinking about how it happened my mom started cleaning the blood running down my forehead and said "we need to get him the the hospital right now". My dad got his car turned on and everyone in the house decided to come along with us to the hospital. After checking me up doctor told me that I had to get

It was the middle of an away sophomore baseball game against DeWitt. My brother, Keegan, was up to bat. The pitch came, he swung and down he went. The baseball came off his bat and drilled him in the left eye. There was only one parent there, one of Keegan’s teammate’s dad. He drove Keegan to the hospital and called my parents. My mom called to tell me my grandma would pick me up when I was done and that her and my dad were on their way to the Iowa City hospital. My dad was at work at the time and met my mom there. They would explain more later. After they got down there and I got home with my sisters, I called my mom. She gave me an explanation…

Well, as fate would have it, Nick ran into me. The momentum he had on impact, caused me to fall forward, right into a brick wall. I remember the pain running through my arms and face, but nothing hurt as badly as my lip. My first grade teacher came out, and she helped me to the nurse. The nurse called my mother, and told her that I had to go to the hospital. Before my mother got to the school, although she was driving pretty fast, I got to look in the mirror. My upper lip was split open, and did not look pretty. It was bleeding excessively when my mother got to the school. She quickly got me into the car, and we drove off.…

I was almost labeled a hamster killer. The first pets i got were dwarf hamsters. I went to petsmart with my mom and picked out two hamsters that were supposedly both girls, but one ended up being a boy. One's name was Caesar and the other Felipe. They weren’t always the nicest, but that didn’t make me love them any less. There was this one time that both of my dwarf hamster's got out while i was at school. My mom told me when i got home that she closed the door to my bedroom because they had escaped. I searched everywhere in my room for them. One hamster was under my bed and the other under my sister's bed since we shared a room at the time. Hamsters always find a way to get into the hardest places to find them in. I caught the one under my sisters bed and he was fine. When i went to get the other one out something funny, but sad happened. I have bins with wheels on them that i would roll under my bed and store stuff in. I had to roll the one under my bed out to see where the hamster was because i couldn't find her. So, as im doing this my mom came in the room to see if i had caught them. I was rolling the bin out as i saw something flat squashed on the floor…

Then we started down the steep hill and my bike speedometer said I was going 40 mph. I was looking ahead to see if any cars were coming and I came up on the turn to fast and I was braking in the corner which was a huge mistake. My back tire slipped out and I hit the pavement and started sliding but miraculously managed to jump on my bike when it was on it’s side and ride it into the curb. BANG! As soon as I hit the curb I jumped up and looked at my Knees which were a little bloody but I didn't think it was too bad so I got my bike to continue the ride and I felt a bumping when I was riding and realized my tire was flat so we pulled over to look at it. That's when we realized I had a bigger gash then we thought so we went to the fire station which was a few blocks away to get some hydrogen peroxide and they said I needed to get stitches. Unfortunately we had to headed back and dropped off our bikes so we could ride the streetcar to the hospital. While we were waiting I was walking back and forth and I walked like a zombie when I saw this guy walking in my direction. He got freaked out and ran the other…
