Neutrogena Ad Analysis
When a company creates a commercial, their key purpose is to get their product to sell. There are many methods that different companies use on their viewers to get them to purchase their products. One of the methods that companies use is when they find a popular face on T.V. and use it for advertisements. Neutrogena is a major company that focuses on the improvement in the health and beauty of skin and hair mainly for women. These ads are designed not only to get their product noticed in the marketplace, but to also surpass other cosmetics line. Neutrogena ads capture both men and women attention by showing them how you would look if you used Neutrogena. The Neutrogena ads uses logos, ethos, and pathos effectively to get the audience to buy Neutrogena products.

The Neutrogena ad from July 2015 includes the beautiful Kerry Washington in a white background showing her stylish hair and make-up skills. In the ad Kerry Washington has flawless brown eyes with brown eye shadow, mascara, and eye liner. Her skin looks as smooth as a baby bottom. Kerry Washington has on a white t-shirt and the words Neutrogena are in black letters placed right under Kerry Washington’s name. In the ad, Neutrogena is explaining that the product is for all women with any skin type. The ad states their products are, “kiss proof, cry proof, and stay proof”, which is used to describe lip stick, mascara, and foundation. Neutrogena is a very popular product and is continuing to grow rapidly every day. Putting Kerry Washington in the commercial showing the viewers that they look as beautiful as her if they wear Neutrogena. Women look to achieve multiple things when using make-up of any kind, and this ad identifies the top ones; Neutrogena ensures viewers that they don’t have to worry about it rubbing off, washing away, or fading
