With this in mind, we should be doing something that will help our nurses in the long run. Nurses should be given proper on the job training as well as continuing education that keeps them up to date on the latest ideas, technology tips, interventions, and new diseases that are arising. This training should also include showing staff that it is okay to use the buddy system when using lifts and that it is okay to say they have had enough and it is time to back off before someone gets hurt on accident. Health care providers have succeeded in making certain tasks easier and more convenient for patients. Patients can pay bills online, they get appointment reminders by email or text, as well as access their medical records from a computer, tablet, or cell phone. But recently the health care field has chosen to turn more towards how many patients can they crank out over how valuable the patient feels towards their doctor and how well the doctor connects to the patient. Health care systems are losing touch with their patients and in turn patients are going elsewhere to receive better patient-provider quality care. Patients want providers to act and show that they actually care about their health issue or problem. Patients also want doctors and their practices to get to know them personally.
