1) I would use this assessment when working with clients whom have recently become disabled in some way or are experiencing a decreased ability in occupational performance. However, as mentioned in the video, this questionnaire could be difficult to give to a client with aphasia or with reading difficulties because the questionnaire would need to be administered in a different way. While changing the way that the questionnaire is administered would allow for it to be given to a wider range of clients, this then introduces biases. In addition, I would also use another outcome measure for a client who is not mentally alert enough to endure an assessment that can take 10-30 minutes and I would assure that the print was large enough for a client with visual impairments. Lastly, I do think that this assessment would be helpful for people who cannot verbally communicate. …show more content…
Administering an occupational profile allows the occupational therapist to learn about all of the clients daily occupations, as well as the way that they preform these occupations. In questioning the client about each area of occupation, the therapist could very easily ask the client how satisfied they are with each of the
