As a “Rookie” in my learning of the health care field, it is somewhat difficult for me to grasp why some leaders do not believe that communication is the first step to develop organizational change techniques throughout the their health care facility. I understand that most health care leaders want to go straight to implementing the organizational changes, without discussing the cause and effects that could occur. However, health care leaders need to learn how to communicate effectively to health care staffers of how the health care changes can be beneficial and/or costly for all within the health care facility. Second, Scheeres (n.d.) acknowledges Bridges highlights that leaders, “…Must provide a clear picture of what the future looks like” (p. 24). Considerably, optimism of what might the future might bring is certainly important for health care leaders and staffers to communicate how certain organizational changes can address challenges that their health care facility is
