They have a science program and the school is based in Cambridge, Massachusetts. To graduate from JDHS you need 4 English credits, 4 social studies credits, 3 math credits, 3 science credits, 3 foreign language credits, 2 phys ed credits, 1.5 elective credits, 1 art and music credit, and .5 health credits for a total of 22 credits (Jamesville DeWitt High School Course Description Handbook “9”). The high school core classes I plan to take are English 9, English 10 honors, AP English 11/12, global 9 regents, global 10 honors, AP US history, AP European history, Honors geometry, algebra 2/ trigonometry honors, pre-calculus honors, AP calculus, Chinese 2 honors, Chinese 3 honors, Earth science regents, AP biology, AP chemistry, AP physics, and AP Statistics. The electives I will take will be forensic biology and forensic chemistry. NYU and Harvard are great schools for someone going into orthodontics, with the high school courses I will be taking I don’t think it will be a problem getting in. After that, I high school continue on to Harvard which is a great school for a biology major. Then, I will go to the dental school at NYU after four years of that I will go into their orthodontic program. Once I graduate school I will open my own orthodontic office. This is a great path to take that ensures I will get the best education possible and become a great orthodontist. Every day I will be able to make someone's smile a little bit better.
