One of my personal biases is my faith in religion. I honestly believe “With Christ all things are possible.” In my opinion without God, I would not be the person I am today. Having faith in God is believing in spite of all overwhelming doubts. I remember a time when I began to doubt God; I was impatient because things were not happening when I wanted them to. I would question why and would always be angry. But, I had to realize God was not going to change my situation until I started to trust and believe in His will. I myself have dealt with gender inequality in the work force. I was not given a job that I was qualified for, though I found another more suitable job later. My mother received the same treatment when she was younger and was paid much less than the men she worked with, even though she worked the hardest out of any employee. The fight for equality continues and I hope to help pave the way for future generations of strong women to get the same rights that are given to every man. I use my mother and myself as a reminder to keep me motivated and focused on that
