“Personal Communication Model”
The Keirsey Temperament Sorter is the most commonly used personality instrument in the world. The Keirsey temperament is a tool that helps people better understand their personality. After taking the quiz, it was revealed that I most closely resemble the Guardian temperament. (ESTJ) Guardians are observant and cooperative. Seeking security and belonging, they are concerned with responsibility and duty. Guardians have four types which are Supervisor, Inspector, Provider and Protector. Guardian’s greatest strength is logistics. They excel at organizing, facilitating, checking, and supporting. This is very close to my personality.
I shared my temperament result with my sister and oldest niece. They agreed with the results. It is the same as my personality. According to them I am dependent, helpful, cautious, humble and trustworthy. Guardians tend to preserve a social institute. My family says I have natural talent in managing daily routines. I do believe in following rules, cooperating with others, working within the system, and planning a schedule. In some ways, the Keisery description is an accurate description of my overall personality. For example, I do value evidence and fact over assumption, if someone is explaining something to me; they must demonstrate why it is as they say it is. I usually do not take someone’s word for it. I would say any person could exhibit qualities from all personality types. For example, I usually trust my intuition about people which is an idealist quality, I sometime seek adventure and truly enjoy creatively working on things which are artisan qualities, and I am always skeptical and trusting of sound logic which is a quality of a rational person. The Keisery test has also shown me that I am a laid back, down to earth type of person. I realized that

The sender of the message was my district manager. The receiver of the message was I, the general manager. The communication message was delivered through E-mail. The message delivered was that my store would receive an extra five cases of chemicals on the truck shipment. I did not know that these chemicals were made by a customer for a preorder of product. The company did not have a preorder system and no one knew of this arrangement but corporate and the district manager. Nowhere in the E- mail did it state these were for a customer order, that I was to put these cases aside for the customer. I assumed that when the product arrived I had to fit it in with the current product of the same kind. I had an over abundance of laundry soap, so I set an end cap for the product and sold all but three out of sixty bottles. I had also sold all the other chemicals ordered but a case and a half.…

In the Myers-Briggs Type indicator/Jung’s Typology Test results I scored ENFJ, which stands for extrovert, intuitive, feeler, and judger. These results seem extremely accurate to me. I do enjoy spending time with people, talking to them, and trying my best to understand them. People fascinate me yet I find it difficult to open up to the people around me, which is a common characteristic among ENFJ’s. Being intuitive, I tend to look at the big picture rather than detail. I rely on my gut rather than my conscious. As a feeler, the decisions I make tie in with the values I grew up learning, leading with my heart and naturally gravitate towards people. Lastly, as a judger, I am super organized! Having a preference towards planned and settled activities.…

First I took the personaily test that stated that my personality type is ENTJ. For me to obtain an understanding of my personality type, it is important for me to develop an interpretation of the meaning of ENTJ. Briefly, the ‘E’ refers to Extroversion (vs. Introversion), which means that I am outgoing and tend to focus on the outer world of people and things. The ‘N’ refers to Intuitive (vs. Sensing), which means my interests lie in relationships, and I focus on the future with a view towards patterns and possibilities. The ‘T’ refers to Thinking (vs. Feelings), which means I tend to base decisions primarily on thinking things through instead of emotions. The ‘J’ refers to Judging (vs. Perceptive), which means I prefer to approach life in a more planned and organized manner and like to have things settled. On an overall perspective, as an EFTJ, I am a warm, empathetic, responsive, and responsible person. I am highly attuned to the emotions, needs, and motivations of others. I look to find potential and good in everyone, and I enjoy helping others to fulfill their potential. I can be a catalyst for individual and group growth, as I am loyal and responsive to praise and criticism. I am sociable, a good facilitator to others in a group and can provide inspiring leadership.…

Communication skills have to be practice over time in order for one to get better at it. Developing good communication skills is very important to me because of the goals and dreams that I have for my personal and professional life. Am I that eloquent orator that I have been dreaming of or that powerful writer I am longing to become? I must say that I have improved tremendously but still think that I have a long way to go. I have received constructive criticisms about my communication skills during my communication class and other important presentations. Based on these critics I am aware of my weaknesses and strengths for both oral and written communication. I believe that the first in becoming an effective communicator is by acknowledging your areas of strength and weaknesses, and using various tools and strategies that would enhance your communication skills.…
