in a public setting. I will be comparing different populations such as my local church and my parent’s job. I will observe my parents by using a recorder and taking observations note in my journal in order to track conversation patterns. The two location’s I mentioned will be visited twice to ensure that I will catch their patterns. For example, I have found a few sample stories that relate to my topic. One story is “Public and Private Language” by an author named, Richard Rodriguez, who describes a young boy who came from Spanish decent, and was having a hard time learning how to speak English when he was in school. This concerned the faulty at his school and asked to speak the language at home so he’ll be able to communicate with the world as he grows older. When he finally learns the language he felt confident to engage with other students and faculty in school. This story was bound to show how a person from a different descent was able to fight for what they want such as learning to speak English and is proud to be called an American Citizen for this
